Wouldn't mind seeing one down here in Vice City, Florida (that's Miami to Northerners and non-GTA fans).
But then, I'm biased. _____________________

If there was a user's meeting in Hell, I could make my signature read "Why don't all of you just pack up and go to Hell?".

Just a side note. There is a world outside the US you know. Can't vote because you have no Other choice.

There was no option for Atlanta, Ga. Which would be my vote. It is pretty central to the southeast SL people, the prices for hotels are not too bad, the public transit is cheap, and Atlanta is a great conference city.
Being born and raised in Atlanta may make me bias though. haha.. I remember at the NY conference, I met a lot of people from Atlanta, and the SL South group has had a nice turn out as well. ![]() |

I leave it to the people doing the work to make the decision. I'll go if I can and not if I can't. Last year I had to go to a wedding out-of-state. It was even planned after the con was announced. As much as I enjoyed being there, I missed being in New York meeting you all.
What is the topics here again? My mind is wandering. The Grid All Hail The Central Grid must be down. _____________________

FlipperPA and comany is cooking up S.F. for the 2006 spot. Seems fair to put it on the left coast this year, and S.F. is a great city. Maybe in '07 we'll have enough people to warrant Vegas

I have to admit I am bummed cos it (for obvious reasons) cannot be held in Europe, obviously Eboni is correct in saying majority US customers etc etc.
Its just a shame that even with this amount of notice, it is still going to be terribly hard for me to attend, living in the UK, with work, money and childcare to think about, its pretty much a non starter ![]() I am going to look into it, however, so hey anywheres cool with me ![]() ![]() _____________________

Why don't some of you UKers hold some sort of gathering at the same time? We might be able to work something out with video streaming. The same goes for people who are interested in other locations who are interested in doing something?

So? It's a poll open to all members, so everyone should have an option. London to Chicago is like $450 USD RT most of the year. I used to fly to Europe a lot and it is cheaper for me to fly to London or Paris from Chicago than to a lot of places in the US. International travel isn't that hard, I don't see the complaint. Although I would like to go to London more than anywhere in the US right now. I have a list of places as long as my arm I need to go to while I am there. So let's just list every city with more than one airport in the world and let the people decide ![]() |

Don't forget, last year, we streamed the convention into SL (as best we could... thanks for being tards, Level3!). There's not reason why we couldn't have regional gatherings for people who can't attend in person. All you need is a laptop! We could probably even set up Ventrilo/Skype/etc so we could take remote questions and/or have remote participation.

If you need a place to stay, my couch is available ![]() MJ Aww thankies MJ! Money wise that makes it a WHOLE lot easier on me (RL sucks at the mo, hence selling Slootsville)! I am most definately going to look into this, you cannot possibly have another meet up without some form of crazy brit chick being there. _____________________

it is cheaper for me to fly to London or Paris from Chicago than to a lot of places in the US. Ain't that the truth. I vote for my neighbor's house. Close enough to not inconvenience me travel wise and I can still run home and hole up in my bunker if anyone touches me. I didn't see this as an option and am going to have to tell my neighbor Gus that y'all are discriminating against him. He's very sensitive to this sort of thing. Expect profanity laced correspondence, probably half in Greek. _____________________

Yes LL is based in the US, and yes, most users are located in the US; the poll would demonstrate this even with non-US locations included. I also agree with Ebony that it's ridiculous to be able to provide options for everyone around the world, but maybe one or two capitals elsewhere might have been nice ![]() |
