As most of you know, teaching and helping people are two of my greatest pleasures in SL. Tonight, I got an email from LL...I've been accepted into the Mentor program! It's a big SL day for me.

Congratulations Lindal. I know to those who have a teacher's heart it is a big deal. My RL/SL wife also just got accepted as Mentor and she was thrilled. Say hey to Floradora Sol in the mentors group...

Are there special award for a Mentor title? What is a mentor? I have only read they exist and some use it as way to take advantage of newbies. There some really great helpful people in SL who don't have titles. _____________________

yeah i was accepted a year after I applied but unfortunately I found out about two months later by accident cause work had gotten much more umm time consuming. I have as of yet been awake or able to attend the meetings so have had to be removed cause I dont have time. Eventually maybe I will have time. Had they accepted me when I applied I would have been mentoring for a year before life got to hectic to continue
good luck there are like 8908987908 islands make sure to go to them all and the griefers can be uh interesting Aside from that for the brief time I did mentor it was pretty fun. The most common question was "how do i earn money" and "how do i out of this place" (meaning i guess the starter islands hehe. For those refusing to read the tutorials on how to leave even if you led them there i handed them a landmark to NCI. Some just would not stop to read any info they just wanted off the island the second they were made _____________________
I know the competition that will come along someday is learning from LL's mistakes. But do they have to make so many? |
