But this is a solution that needs to be made by LL. "I roleplay" would simply not be the truth and therefore hurt my girls. Sorry, I don't quite get the rest of that part. Well, this thread has certainly grown over the weekend!
First of all, I don't agree with Aleco's lifestyle. BDSM and D/s is not for me.
On the other hand, I have to say to those who are being critical: it's Aleco's business. As for newbies "running when they see his profile", let me tell you my experience...
In my first SL home, the couple next door was heavily into D/s. The man kept his female sub in a cage, when she wasn't needed by him, and engaged in lots of other practices which make me feel queasy. However, they were both courteous, well-spoken, and intelligent people. Neither of them pushed their lifestyle on me at any time. Yes, it was there to read in their Profiles, but a Profile can't hurt you. I'd be more concerned about someone who hid his or her lifestyle and sprang it on you as a surprise.
In fact, I have NEVER met a dominant who tried to trap, ensnare, or seduce me to the Dark Side. It doesn't work that way...you have to ask. Oh, I know there are newbie would-be masters who show up and start shouting "down on your knees, slave". But they are laughable.
For those who think Mentors should be "white knights" with shining profiles...well, maybe that's an ideal, but I don't think we're going to see it any time soon. SL is a cross section of humanity, and the Mentors are a cross section of SL. As long as someone adheres to the Mentor guidelines, I don't think anyone has any business telling them what should be in their profile. As long as they aren't using the Mentor tag to promote their business (or anyone else's), I don't think there's any reason not to display it.
The Mentor tag isn't a badge of morality. When you wear it, all you are saying is, "I want to help you."
As for Aleco wearing his tag while working in his help station that contains mature materials: LL has said this isn't a good idea. So Aleco ought to wear another group tag, or none. That's all he has to do. LL has not said he has to hide his membership in the Mentors while doing mature stuff.
What a pain it would be, if we all had to adjust our Profiles depending on where we wanted to go and what we wanted to do. Plus, it would introduce a fundamental dishonesty into the Profile system. Better to create an alt, if you really need to modify yourself that much.

You should venture out of your PG world and meet more escorts. Like the BDSM crowd, SL escorts tend to be intelligent, interesting people.
One of my closest friends is an ex-escort, a very successful one who made more with her texting ability than a lot of mainstream SL merchants. In RL, she's a highly educated professional.
Unlike RL, SL escorts are not "exploited". They can't be. The disease, addictions, and other downsides of the sex-worker trade don't apply here. An SL escort is a person who is skilled in creating interactive erotic chat...more of an improv playwright than a whore.
She may uh, shall we say, enjoy her work...or she may be folding laundry. But who cares what someone is doing behind their keyboard on the other side of the screen?
Ice, you're entitled to live a PG lifestyle...but please don't try to impose it on everyone else.

Please, for once, DO read what I wrote. I said the landmarks with churches etc was really short. i know that because I checked it out. AND I said that the general adult content is pretty large. I did not say landmarks of a specific type. I didn't count them either, I was talking about my impression. And whatever is uncivilised about my reply? It was pretty uncivilised what you accused me of in the German forums, i.e. racism and some such, and saying I was an unhelpful troll. You might ask some people around here.

(My area of expertise, pleeeease let me brag a little about language history....) Oh, and "das letzte Wort haben", i.e. have the last word, exists JUST like that in German. Aleco should know it.
