Ishii, I think there is one thing you are mistaken in here SL isnt truly a game. It is more of a creative platform. And it is a good thing it is cause i am sure there are straight jackets somewhere in SL for you.
I dont think anyone is going to take your posts seriously if all you are going to do is try to slam anyone with a different point of view. And thank God there are gags in the "game" as well. As soon as I log on I will send you one. I dont think it will interfere with you "head up your ass" animation either

Ok, as I told you when you where saying pretty much the same thing on my sim.
Right now what i can see going on is a fair bit of elitism I rp better then you and you all suck. While this might be your opinion.. rp is up to the creator of the rp. While I might now agree with every.. or most RP sims I have been to i will not tell people to change it or try to enforce my standard as a standard. You seem to me missing the fact.. The person paying the tier.. and creating everything is the one who decided what is standard on THEIR sim. Do not like it.. well do like me do NOT go there.. but quite frankly don't start attack people on the forums. I fear you will have to end up buying your own sim and making your own standard... or just finally let people do their thing as they like to and find a place you might like.
Can not find a single place you like? Well maybe your standards are too high for the online rp community and you best take your games to offline only.

While I'd like to see more combat systems being compatible with a standard source code.. that is the only standard I'd like to see because it is troublesome gearing up diffrently everywhere I go.. but then again its just a small thing.
I mean there isn't even a standard RPG system published in rl. There are like.. a lot and they all have pretty much own stories ways of handling it and all that...

And do not call people scum for their own opinion... that i just... really really sad.

No the regressive who wants the standard wants to call you scum Mickey, and she/he won't explain why. Whereas I've given logical debate rebuttals to all points..all theyve done si point the finger and call me stupid.. even if I wanted an RP standard, Ishii wouldn't be the one to lead the revolution. Such a place requires tact, skill, personanilty, and patience.

So after making a very slightly disagreeing response in this thread, essentially to the point that I don't want to debate the subject due to its antagonistic tone...

He IMs me in the game to try to argue about it.

All I'm gonna say. You're muted, Ishii, and I won't post in your threads.

Ishii sent me long diatribes in game through IM. It is the thrill of argument the creature seeks. Responding only feeds the ego. I only had to point to the narrow aspect of perspective the creature uses when it wished me good morning and quoted costs in dollars. The assumption being that we all live in one time zone and use one currency supports the narrow world-view brought to the discussion by this being. The only response I received after pointing this out is that I was putting words in the creature's mouth, this argument is used ad-nauseum throughout its threads. I was summarily dismissed. If you wish for Ishii to ignore you then simply only point out basic facts, they complicate the creature and stymie the argumentive nature of the beast.

This Ishi guy is awesome. I would subscribe to his newsletter. I think it would rival the time-cube guy's for sanity and funness!

A+ thread, would read again, etc.

So he's doing this to multiple people? Almost makes me wish I hadn't muted him as soon as he started acting like a whiny preteen with a masturbatory need for attention.

You're all so empty, unoriginal and vacant it's stunning.

You're the millions of "non-conformists" in Misfits t-shirts.

This dude-ette is on crack or something o.O

This thread was amusing though. I lawled...

...A little.

Anyway, on topic. I haven't truly RP'd since I was a kid, not counting video game RPG's. Actually, the last RPG I played was KH2, lol. Anyway, I have walked around quite a lot of "RP's" in Second Life, been chased out of more than one Gorean sim for griefing, and watched quite a few people do combat in SL.

The idea of roleplaying, to me, is to tell a story, which is what I am, coincidentally. A story-teller. I love good stories. Be it in a game, movie, book, or an RPG. The mechanics don't have to be standard, that doesn't fit in my definition of roleplaying game. This isn't a CRPG we're talking about here, we're not having a turn-based vs. real-time with pause fight like they have on Fallout discussion boards, we're talking about a game that was designed to let anyone do just about anything. You are calling for a standard for, if not all, then some-to-most RP's in Second Life. Why? Only some are/were able to be crossed over, like the relationship the Crack Den had with a few others, like HH, or whatever it was called. You wouldn't find a Mists' RPer suddenly walking through Midian City. Each RP is designed/created/molded by the people in it, the owners of the sim, and a little creative reasoning. At the end of the day they'll look at you, what you've written, label you a jackass control-freak and go back to their game.

Which is what you are. A jackass. And a control freak. And what's best about you is that you have a very eloquent way of stating things, answering questions, and generally trying to get your arguement heard, and possibly have people agree with you. I love your tact, keep it up. It gives me something to read/laugh about at work.

Incidentally, if any of you ever wonder why lawyers live on hilltops while you idiots work hourly jobs, it's because of semantics.

You're all so small and grasping

We all end up in pretty much the same place at the end of this journey, regardless of how high your house is. =)
