Nvidia Geforce (which is under system requirments) on one computer and ATI Radeon 9250 (which is under system requirments) on another computer.

Now you can see that it's obviously NOT my computer... Like many people think

That's the system requirments, and you notice it says the following:

Second Life is not compatible with dial-up internet, satellite internet, and some wireless internet services.

That says SOME wireless internet services, not all. When I first joined SL, I had a landline (regular router for internet), and I crashed every 5 minutes or less. I switched to wireless and my internet was PERFECT. No crashes and it was 115% faster! Now that I have updated the last 2 updates, if the first one didn't cause enough crashing, the second one stopped some of the crashing and made me have super lag! (forcing me to crash). I updated my graphic card after the first update. And uninstalled SL and reinstalled it. I even updated it AGAIN for the second update, uninstalled SL and reinstalled it. I set all my settings down, and now SL is very ugly. And to make matters worst. No linden has put these issues in Known Issues. There are plenty of people with the problem, and them having not put it in there makes us feel that they really don't care. Maybe they fixed it so that only certain people could play. Can I pay extra to play? That's be really pathedic but, these problems are only getting worst. And they won't fix themselves...

I still want to know where you come up with the figure of 1/3? what proof do you a offer to back a statment that 1/3 of all users are having major issues with this update. You have chastised and called us names for mentioning figures and yet you make an amazngly wild clai like 1/3 of all users.

Also kindly do NOT continue to send me Yahoo PM's I dont know you, and while we both have the equal right to voice opinions here in a public forum. You have NO right to send me nasty Yahoo PM's

Oh, and I've had this issue for days. You don't know how much I've done to get this far. I've tried live help several times and done everything under the sun to fix my game. Now I'm just waiting for them to fix the issue that 1 out of 3 people are having. And plus, I did not make this thread so that you guys tell me what I am doing wrong. I never asked for any of your help (obviously), I'm trying to let people know how 1/3 of SL players feel. So remember, I never asked for help, at all, not from you guys atleast. And I mean no offense by that. But I'm serious. And If I was hopping up and down, would I be able to be typing this right now? I mean in a literal sense. Or atleast common sense. If I was stomping my feet and hopping around, I wouldn't be able to type on my computer, unless it was going up with me. And that's just stupid....


yes there is a lot people have same problems and please dont say drivers,etc.before look another part of this forum, %1? no there is a lot people and think it is only %1 or only 1 person..there isnt right to post and ask help from LL?where you are living?In second life culture we are trying to help every 1 and we are trying to dont effect badly if anyone trying anything: We trying to make known this problem from LL.sending posts like''only %1 have problems '' or''greatest update is this'' dont forget we all was verry good at 1.9,half of was in at 1.10.32 and 1 10.34 does not allow login them.if u'll be dont able to login after wednesday(new update)you'll need forums to make known your probs.and maybe this teachs you make empaty what %1 or 1 people feels .about support you dont know how feel when they answer ''greatest update''posts immediatly and ignore your ''i am not able to log''posts.and if u look in forums realy you'll see some peoples realy think to transfer their inventory (was asking how transfer) to a friend and quit playing.

You realize that 1% of SL popular is still alot right? Not like we are talking 1 person..Sl has 232,020, so 1% is 2000 people that may be having issue, so I think 1% is being more then generous.

Also, I mention drivers, because it is 90% of the time. I have fixed 100s of issue, all drivers (due to install over old without cleaning, or just a bad download), there has be spyware loaded machines, firewalls that are blocking too much, corrupt files even uninstall /reinstall of quicktime has fixed, not just SL.

Plus these are PC, not all hardware work 100% with each other, so if you have strange little issue that you have been living with, playing an online game that does move forward as technology will let it, shows these issue even more, so that annoying once a week lock up, with SL will become an hourly thing..this is normal.

If I had the problem you have had, by now I would formated my hdd, install Windows fresh, install just SL, and see how it goes..if fine, then it was my machine that had the issue, if not then I would have a leg to stand on and say, it is fresh install, only SL installed..You have not said that, you just said tried lots.

Again sorry you are having issue, but I hate fighting to help somone, but then you said many times in here, you are not here for help, just to complain. So I will let you be now, I will move on :)

Hey! We're past that part. Get over it. Look at the new posts. And I'll repeat for like a 5th time. Drop it! I'm sick of people trying to prove me wrong when you can't even talk, your not having the problem that a lot of people in SL are having. So you shouldn't judge me. When you crash every 5 minutes or can't log in. reply to this post. Don't reply to prove me wrong, your only making yourself look dumb. Now drop it, okay?

Your not listening! I already said that it is NOT MY DRIVER! That it's SL, read the long post I have, I mean actually READ it! And you'll see! I'm so annoyed because nobody is listening! I hate repeating myself!

/me thinks Ice and her friend who has now IM'd me in yahoo as well must be candidates for the teen grid. I have had it, and will be on the phone with LL tomorrow cuz I am wayyy overbeing harrassed out of game but this child and her friend.

You know what? I had a problem the night of the new version installation of crashing on all tp's.... I made sure my driver was updated, I uninstalled and reinstalled SL, I cleared cache, you name it. It was late so no Lindens were on, SOOOOOO....

I waited till the next morning when Linden was open and tried Live Help before I called tech support. Lizzie Linden was kind enough to go through some things with me, and lo and behold...... I was fixed and happy within ten minutes. So far this update has been wonderful, and I have no problems whatsoever with it, it's great... so don't count ME amongst the "1/3 of SL" that is having "the same problem you are" WHATEVER that is.... And by the way, if 1/3 of SL was having that problem, don't you think there would be a lot more posts about their problems? I sure don't see many, but maybe I'm in the "1/3" that doesn't see all the posts???? Yeah.... rightttttt.

Whining and crying and moaning about customer service when you aren't willing to let ANYONE, be it a Linden or a fellow knowledgeable SL'er help you is just WRONG. You won't provide specs, etc.... how can anyone expect to help you? Quit acting like a spoiled brat, I'm thinking we're adults here, or MOST of us anyway.

Yes, the key word IS empathy, and I saw a lot of that here with fellow SL'ers trying to help her with her (or your/or others) problems, but did she (or you) provide specs of her computer, etc? No.

Either get in touch with Linden, as I did and FIX the problem, OR provide some proper info so that knowlegeable SL'ers can possibly help.

If you will note, I DID have a problem, and it was fixed because I asked for help and provided the necessary information requested. Any you may say "silly" about my thoughts all you want.... I just see petty childish behavior being put about by a few people in this posting forum. I am not a child and I am not silly. End of story.

i didnt say anything about any other people not trying to help and also they are not doing personal problem if someone sounds angry you are not able to understand it is not about you.go and post anywhere else. you did this topic to usseles.You dont have any empaty

So far as I have been able to find, you have not posted your system specs in any of the many threads you have started about the problems you're having. All you have done is complain, mostly in ALL CAPS with lots of !!!!!s, in a very aggressive manner.

If you'd like some help, take a chill pill, post the specs of your machine, and we'll be glad to try to help you figure out your problem. But if you're going to continue to gripe and cop an attitude, it's going to be very difficult to get anyone to assist you.

Sighs..I see NO personal problems posted by myself, was simply trying to help as others in this thread have. And I also believed I was replying to Ices, NOT gokhan. Why you take this so personally is beyond me. To insert yourself into this thread so forcefully....hmmmm?

You have no concept of this whole thread, I suggest you go back and read the whole thing carefully and then examine childish and silly behavior. You may also want to try a dictionary or spell check when posting. Consider my reply closed as of now as this has become people just trying to flame and incense and insult. Have a great SL.

The problem that Ices is referring to has been addressed in the forum Technical Issues.

The 3-day weekend likely exacerbated the problem since the Lindens were away for the holiday.

Hopefully with the advice posted by Lee Linden
(One computer unable to run SL, two that require driver updates)
based on the crash reports they have received, Ices' problem will now be addressed.

Boliver, the more you post, the harder I laugh. Thanks, I'm actually having a great day watching you freak out over your computer. In a nice sense, do you have anything better to do than watch over this thread? I mean, do you REALLY care THAT much? If so, that's sweet but. I don't need help anymore. I found out that it's not my computer. It's the update. (said by a Linden). But thanks anyway :)
