Have any of you Lindens noticed how many ISSUES this new update is CAUSING? I mean if you really are telling the truth and saying thast you read the bug reports AND you actually READ these threads. Shouldn't you be closing the grid for SL and trying to FIX THE PROBLEM??? It's not that difficult really. Everything I just said is common sense...
I mean if the costant crashing from the griefers isn't bad enough... Now the update is making the majority of the SL population leave SL. And I bet a lot of those people pay you too.

1 'couldn't get better' and 10 being horrible

And I already know what is going to happen in to this thread.... and so... I rest my case before it's even replied to...

What have you tried??

Yes, there is some issues, but it does not effect a majoriy of the population. So bring down the server because 100s can't play and 100000s can..not a good idea.

What is your video card, did you do a clean install of the drivers, or do you have old driver on older driver on older driver, and then a new one on that?

Did you defrag, did you run spyware cleaner, is your machine ok (bios setting, bios update, etc)? You have a computer, it is not a plug and play machine, expecailly with online game that do change, the ones in a box (not online) don't change, so if they run, then they will run forever, online games are not like that.

I know not all issues are with a machine, but so far fixed 100s of issues, and all have been machine problems, bad driver installs, spyware loaded machine, an over active firewall, etc..etc..

So give us specs, hardware, etc and we can help, but to just say it is broke fix it, does not give Linden anything go from, and nothing that we can try to help.

And contant crashing by griefers? There have been maybe 10 in the 2 years I have play that is pretty darn good when you figure since the account are free every person that finds that fun is trying to do it, everyday, so Linden's doing a great job there.

Again, would love to help you, but screaming and stamping feet does not give us (lindens and those who like to help) anything to work with. So let us help you.

I've done everything possible to fix my game. It's still messed up... so it's their turn now and everyone knows that. And as a paying customer, I think this whole this is pathedic. It's not even in Known Issues yet. Because they don't care! Thats why I gave them a bad customer service rating.

well i can understand you're upset, but they've clearly said they are CLOSED UNTIL TUESDAY. so maybe you could shush with your numerous whining posts until then? you've made your point abundantly clear and even more posts won't make it tuesday any sooner. it could get you into trouble eventually though, possibly.

i'm sorry if your long weekend sucked and was SL free. i am. but really now....

Well, I can't answer for the rest of you. But in my case, this upgrade has been a good thing for me. I wiped all my old video drivers, installed the latest. Changed a few of the game option to max and this version (For Me) is still working better than it ever has. So I'm a happy camper.

Same here, 1.10 has been extremelly good, sorry to hear some folks have difficulties, i really hope you get your SL back soon :)

good for me too. i feel bad for the people with issues, i wish the update hadn't happened before a long weekend, and i hope the problems will be resolved soon. a single intelligent post to enumerate your situation is a good thing. multiple complaining ones, not so much. understand the frustration and temptation, but it doesn't gain one any sympathy, it's just annoying.

umm okay. Isn't rubbing it in a little rude? Besides, you all talking about how wonderful the update is, does not fix mine [and a lot of other peoples] problems with it.
If you read the other posts, it's destroying their SL game and their computer too! That's really bad if you ask me...

Ok, now you are over the deep end.. I am sorry you are having issues, but you have given up, you were asked for spec, and you complain about giving them, you did in another post.

You say everyone, while maybe, maybe 1% is of the population is having big issues, there are problem, this update REQUIRES that you update you driver, and just putting over top is not a good idea, it is best to have a clean driver install.

So would love to help you, but when you reponse is SL support sucks, etc, but you are being very standoffish, you use words like everyone (while in reality, 1%, maybe)..and you say you tried everything, but if you did, it would be working as it is for the other 99% playing in SL right now.

Again I am sorry, but open up and let us help you, this hopping up and down and stamping you feet does not help you, and does not help us.

Not really. Before you post on this forum. Look at the Technical issues and SL answers and everything. Don't say 1% because then you'd sound stupid. Research before coming up with an odd conclusion that everyone can see is wrong.

Oh, and I've had this issue for days. You don't know how much I've done to get this far. I've tried live help several times and done everything under the sun to fix my game. Now I'm just waiting for them to fix the issue that 1 out of 3 people are having. And plus, I did not make this thread so that you guys tell me what I am doing wrong. I never asked for any of your help (obviously), I'm trying to let people know how 1/3 of SL players feel. So remember, I never asked for help, at all, not from you guys atleast. And I mean no offense by that. But I'm serious. And If I was hopping up and down, would I be able to be typing this right now? I mean in a literal sense. Or atleast common sense. If I was stomping my feet and hopping around, I wouldn't be able to type on my computer, unless it was going up with me. And that's just stupid....

Part of the curse of getting new features and improvements is the extremely likely consequence that things WILL break.

No world is perfect. When stuff breaks for no apparent good reason,
it can be incredibly frustrating until the bugs are worked out.

So... are you really trying to get these problems fixed?

Or are you taking advantage of this temporary inconvenience to get away with being a righteous arrogant insulting and intolerably rude customer.

Okay first of all. I am trying to be nice, but the "rude customers" are not hlping that. And second of all, I TRIED to get the problem fixed. Now I am just expressing my views like your allowed to on a forum. But hey, if Lindens are here it's not my fault. I mean I did nothing wrong so, I have no clue what your talking about. And frankly I don't want to argue with you this like little kids, so that's why I've told many people to "drop it" if you can't. I think that light is off upstairs...

so asking in the nicest way I can...
Drop it. No one here is helping me in anyway, especially saying how great the game is so. I don't care for advice or opinions right now...
I just want the problems fixed. (meaning a new update or downgrade)
And I'm not the only person who wants that. (a lot of people want that)

I'm not experiencing any major problems right now, nor is any person I've spoken to about the update. I'm sure Lindens must deal with many many complaints and are doing all they can to get everything fixed... I'm happy with the 1.10 update :) , but thats just me. What kind of graphic card are you running sl with ? ..That could be the problem.

Sounds frustrating. Computer issues suck. :(

However, this update fixed a bunch of performance problems I've been living with through the last five or so. I also defragged, ran scans, updated drivers, etc., but that ws before the update, so the update definately helped.

Hope you get fixed up.

Thank you, but if they were dealing with any of the MAJOR complaints like 1/3 of SL having the update problems, then it'd be fixed by now. And that's why a lot of the people in multiple forums are really mad, like I am.
