Cannot bring up properties dialogue for animations.

Just submitted another bug:

Steps to reproduce the bug:
1. Right click on an animation in your inventory and choose "properties"

Observed results:
The animation is "opened" instead allowing you to play the animation.

Expected results:
A properties window should pop up allowing you to change permissions and other properties on animations.


This needs to be fixed ASAP. It should be at the top of the list. This makes it impossible for animators to release new animations unless they use the default permissions (no copy/no mod).

Anyone have a work around?

In case they haven't fixed it.. I found a work around.. rez a prim.. put your anim in the prim and then right click and open properties.. it opens in the edit window but not the inventory window.. don't look at me! I dunno why.. but this works

Thanks for looking Torley. There is also a thread in the Animations forum: /52/87/138144/1.html

Two things about this bug make it something that I hope gets fixed fast:
  1. It's an extremely annoying bug that without the workaround would limit animators from releasing new animations.
  2. It should be extremely simple to fix.

Aha--thanks to Milo and Leyla Linden, "Cannot change the properties of an animation" *was* a known bug and has already been FIXED internally.

Thanks Keiki, Rowan, Tengu.

You'll again be able to do this in the next release of Second Life! :)
