version 1.15 causing incredible crashing.

I can't stay logged in for more then 30 seconds if I'm someplace other then my home! Is there a work around, let us use version 1.13? I couldnt use version 1.14 either. Please help.

Likewise. I had to roll back to 1.13 to prevent the same problems I'm having now with the required update.

Same here. I wonder if Linden Labs is going to fix this? Or more rather, which happens first...A) I boot the premium status. B) Lindens fix it.

Who knows? If anyone hears a fix, do let me know.

Thought that most issues with graphics cards crashing would have been solved. Nah, tonight I crashed again two times, just like before. Nothing's changed. Maybe that's not so bad considering some people can't login at all anymore.

And hey, alpha stacking is still wrong and now the Library is missing too. Oh boy oh boy oh boy.

I didn't think it could get any worse but today, I can't even make to the login screen. I double click the icon and get the second life crash logger immediately! And when I hit send, that crashes too!

I think I'll see whats going on over at SWG...

V1.15 is the worst ever. It doesn't run stable , ok the previeus version also doesn't run stable but compared to 1.15 they were rock stable. Also its running so slow its a joke the system i'm using is capable to run exessiv grafik games also with a fast internetconnection and the game wich looks like a game from 7 years ago runs that ugly. And every new version it is getitng slower and slower. But maybe 1.16 will make something better who knows. Or start over again with a previeus version and throw the bad new versions away.

And other things to mention ,
1. since the last 1,14 version the clothings load very slow also some pictures.
2. Online Status is confusing some are online who are not and some are not online who are.
3. Teleport often stuck or run again after arrival and then stuck ..

But at last i still manage to go online so i don't have that big problems like some here in the thread. So i can be happy with what i got? :)

I have uninstalled, reinstalled, uninstalled, cleaned my registry, reinstalled. Sent emails to "Support", Called the number and left a voice ticket (because god forbid you talk to a real live person). Everything. It has been 3 days and I have not been able to connect to SL. Every single time. right after it checks protocol it crashes to desktop. All I have gotten are typical BS patterned responses (I've worked Tech Support before I know this song and dance). Not once, ONCE have I gotten one single shred of help. I am trying to run a business in SL. Rent for my Store and My land are due this week. This is by far the worst customer service I have EVER seen (And I worked for Dell). Needless to say I'll be cancelling my premium account when I get back into the game.

Having the same issues too, never been online more than 20 minutes on SL... when i get some luck of course...

The worst update i've ever experimented ;-(

Why we can't downgrade to 1.13 or 1.14 ????

It's not feasible or appropriate to do a forced rollback every time some small segment of the world has a problem. The appropriate response is to dig in and find the problem and fix it, which is what the Lindens are currently doing.

This version, and previous versions, work well on my PC and for several other residents. More than likely, catastrophic crashes are caused by something on the client-side... be it driver incompatibility or overagressive anti-spyware/virus apps or firewalls, or overaggressive ISP packet filtering.

The applications both clientside and serverside are continually changing. No matter how much testing gets done, something unexpected will always come up.

I had crash reporter failure a while back. I wrote support@lindenlab a note about it a few months ago and they started trying to tell me how I needed to update my video dirivers, etc. I wrote back at fair length on how the crash reporter needs to be built like a tank, it shouldn't need any special video drivers of any sort, it has to be able to run under any conditions, etc. or the company will lose users due to crashes and never get any feedback on the crash, etc.

The crash reporter starting working the next day and has worked since.

SL doesn't work reliably, of course, that sort of goes without saying, but at least I am no longer plagued with having the crash reporter get hung and having to use Task Manager to close the crash reporter.

and especially i suffer massive and heavy hard drive usage... that often block the pc for minutes and minutes

Kaylee I couldn't use 1.14 either and was a 1.13 user up to this upgrade - hoping that the probs of 1.14 would be ironed out for the likes of you and I. Sadly my faith has proved unfounded so far.
I was beginning to feel very very lonely and unloved - so I thought, am I really the only person on the planet RL and SL having these problems?
First off my laptop crashes regularly - on average every 20 mins but sometimes faster - with a maxed out CPU. Now, before you say its an old pc, nope - one year old, pentium IV, NVidia GeForce Go graphics card (256 memory), 1mb ram, and enough HD space to swing a lot of cats in.
My desktop is older but its still 2.6Ghz, NVidia 128 graphics card, my router is on a 2mb WIRED internet connecion, and that is struggling too!
Version 13 was, like for Kaylee, as stable as a rock for me - what's going on? Why is there so much more data flying around for our pcs to process and die trying? The game is great, but I for one can't yet afford cutting edge super cooled PC technology for every upgrade - please remember the average gaming pc in the street has to last a year or two? Notorious anti-virus? No - McAfee and Norton respectively - both of which have been no problem at all so far.
Some Linden overall feedback in here on crash report statistics would be rather nice - any chance at all folks? It couldn't be anything to do with the great chat facility which I don't want for one, could it? Get Skype or pick up the phone!
Please keep the great game living for us all - it suddenly becoming worryingly unavailable - and as 3 sim owner, I'm having to ask myself the unthinkable - which I assure you I don't want to do.

It's incredible - I'm speechless. I'm bothering to send off crash reports in the hope that they will pass on useful information - so I did so for my last crash, then it completed, I logged in, only to get kicked out by the crash logger showing me a window how useful it was and asking me (again) to send the report! Awesome logic. And now I guess I'll log in again, only to have the crash logger ask itself wtf it crashed me - perfect. It's just like a virus disappearing up its own - ok, never mind. Lets try once more!

Its been very frustrating. My computer is only a month old. Its a monster and runs other games with no issues. Also has tonns of hard drive space. I'm now running sl on the lowest possible anything settings in game in hopes to stay logged in just a little longer. I just don't understand whats wrong here.
And yes, I have ventrillo so I dont need an ingame chat function either.

Well you can put me down on the list i have gotten tired of logging in to crash within ten minutes. I have said screw this and went back to my ps2 because i am unable to roll back to 1.13 which was the last stable version.

I made what was apparently a mistake, uninstalling all the versions of SL, and reinstalling just the current viewer, around the time I said the crash reporter had been working for me.

Since then, the crash reporter has a hundred percent failure rate. Oh well, I guess I totally lindened the crash reporter.

WTF!!???

I agree... this is the worst Version to date...

I was on with no problems till this morning...
Now... The Frakkin' program crashes 1/2 thru login....EVERYTIME

The only way I have found around this is to unistall completely, and re-install....

EVERYTIME I WANT TO LOGIN!!!

THAT'S BS!!!

I won't bother sending LL Crash Reports... since everything we send "em get ''File #13'd" right off the bat.
And trying to get a REAL answer to ANYTHING from Support is fruitless.

LL is fast becoming a joke at best.

By the looks of their current product.... 1/2 of them must come from MS ( have to patch EVERY line of code they produce)....and the other 1/2 must come from There (can't write anything that DOESN'T lag.)

If you have Norton Save and Restore running as a service on XP, Try stopping it (Go to Administrative tools/services to stop it). This seems to have cured 95% of the disk activity problems I was having.

Just a something to try.

I think I'm getting the worst of it. Ever since I installed SL 1.15 I've been getting BSoD errors on win32k.sys (WinXP SP2). I ran a Memtest86+ on my RAM to see if that was the cause but the tests all came back negative. Seeing as it only happens when SL's running I'm guessing it's the culprit.

..Also, my friends list hasn't worked ONCE since installing the new version. I have to echo-locate IM-ping people to get them to appear as online.

Edit: The random "Going away" is starting to bug me, too.
