Wow. With all those Allens and Becks, it's even more amazing that I haven't run into one yet :)

Btw, I like your idea for the website. Once you have it up and working, I'll hop over and sign-up.

It would be interesting for you to generate a list of all known last names with their respective counts. It would make for a very interesting list, I should think. :)

It's obvious, I got in before the LL alteizmers set in with regards to name rotation.

It probably didn't start until 6/6/2006 (or better known as "open the floodgates" day).

The names were last rotated sometime around 2007-01-30.
That date would be more appropriate for this name than 2006-06-06 would be.

Hey, how do you check and see how times a name was used? I'm curious about Pointe, haven't seen to many of those (thankfully).

LL has changed the "Join Now" page
Before you choose a name, it asks you if you want to join one of the following:
AzureIslands
MainlandBrasil
The L Word
Big Pond
nmc campus
Anshe Chung Mainland

It chooses one at random to highlight with a larger banner.

Everyone who clicks "Join Now" sees this preliminary screen, now.


I saw the NBA community when I looked this morning. As in Basketball. Yup, the mainstream is here.

No it was 150..in my name era............ 50 was a little before that.

As I was curious whether the names were still the same I ended up on the new introductory page too. Which sucks. Most of the things you can't take if you're not from the US due to...licensing stuff.

My mistake... it is normal about half the time. The other half the time it brings you the community selection page. This seems to be random. It doesn't seem to depend on which secure web server # you end up with.

In fact, why in the heck don't they just let us type in a last-name too? All it needs to do is force us to stick to just one word (ie no spaces in last-names) and it should be fine.

Then give a drop-down as suggestions, or implement one of those 'search as you type' style things.
