remove it

Nothing but afk/camping places on it anyway, searchwords pretty much a joke to , everyone fills in everything to make it hit , then go there and it has nothing but campers

remove traffic.
remove the popular places tab.
make it a TOS violation to engage in any form of deceptive activity with penalties to include seizure of all in world assets. This includes taking/purchasing the content of others to resell at a lower price unless a contract to resell is signed by both parties.

I am in agreement with this.

since the traffic stupind is gone now. traffic serves really no use. All it does is provide place for campers to go, and anymore all traffic in place means is alot of zombie camppers.

I've had camping issues in my islands. one of them had the max number of people, who were campers. The campers were that camp bot software. That works as soon as a camp pad opens in a place thats the camp bot teleports a camper directly ontop of the dance pad or camp pad and sits down.

When I was handling this problem I would eject one and poof instantly nother one would appear on the pad. When I would remove the pad poof the camper would instantly vanish away.

If traffic was done away with as it should be, then maybe people would start really running real events real people to interact with. not place full of zombie campers.

SL would be whole better place with out traffic. Make people use talent to attract business.

I think the traffic figure should be the number of people who actually visit the parcel, not based on time spent. This would make camping chairs etc null and void plus gives a truer reading.

suggestion for traffic system, one that tracks visits not time spent camping. and only counts 1 visit per avatar per 24-48 hours.

Maybe good idea, maybe not.

The problem with a "unique visitor" counter is that if the place is a place to stay at (a park, good build, etc.) that has low unique visitors per time period, but they stay for a long time because they want to be there of their own free will (i.e. no monetary incentive) then what?

Lets not also forget the Lindens "other" way of gaming the search which is "list by CASH"
you see SL businesses paying 100,000 lindens a WEEK for the search, is that also a way of gaming the system.

Yes it is another way of gaming the system. I find it hypocritical that people criticise campers but don't complain about this, it's just the other side of the same coin.

I'm not quite sure how doing what they're supposed to do can be considered "gaming the system".

Then I trust you're not opposed to camping, it's also a means of "doing what they're supposed to do", the end result being to get your product higher up the search listings.
