Negativity and hostility were the the main forces that drove me away. Hopefully when I check back in August it will have died down some. Though a part of me doubts it ever will.

Greetings! Not only in SL but RL as well. They are just bringing in here too! I work for the DMV (I love it) but lately so many have been soooo RUDE & BITCHY! It just amazes me.

So they come in here and keep it going. Sorry that you have been experiencing this. So far almost 1 yr in SL and only had 1 neg experience (aside from the occasional hits with guns or scripts)

BTW I was in Curious Kitties last week and got hit with a banana!! With numbers on it actually. Well it didnt hit me..but it was there on my head and followed me around. I couldnt get rid of it unless I logged off. Doesnt the report that youve been hit with a script alert you anymore?

Gosh! I agree Torrid... All my known well people are here in this forum telling the truth. I feel the same way. So sometimes is you who has to escape from all that negativity or else you drawn with it. It is awful, I went thru it...

But I'm always hostile in the bedroom. To stop would cause a tear in the space time continuum and other ... stuff. Yeah.

Ive only been here for 10 days.. My first 2 I had to deal with dozens of 'attention whores' who dwelled at the only spot I liked to hang out. The newbie zone. Im very flirty and I made a saucy comment at one point and a popular person started to get on me. Immediately resorting to 1st life comments and about 4 others joined in. Well I enjoy a good cat fight now and again, so I retorted them for about 5 minutes. It got to the point were they started teleporting people in, until I had about 11 people trying to insult me with cliche internet insults. One of the Mentors who realized I was enjoying myself, just stood aside and laughed with us. When it got to the point were they were no longer being funny with RL threats, he stepped in to break it up. After it got to the point were I realized they were no longer kidding, I just left. Now when i go back from time to time, there is always one person making comments. Since my quick wit is off the sleeve, I don't mind it, since their comments are always stale and generic. But I found if I just sit and watch for a little bit, these same people eventually find a target to deploy their 'unique' humor. Most of the time its brand new players who are just trying to get a feel for things.
More and more im finding this type of player popping up. Angry or disgruntled, looking for a fight. Majority of their accounts are 8+ monthes old.

If I had to take a guess, id say alot of them are unhappy with upcoming changes (There camp chair AFk clubs are going to go broke) and plan on quitting. So as we all know, when you dislike something, you want to make others dislike it just as much. I think this has alot to do with the new springing of rash attitudes. Regardless it won't effect my cheery happy-go-lucky attitude. I suggest those running into these people, just take em with a grain of salt and do what I do: Picture them 100lbs overweight with a tight fitting 'PwNeD' T-shirt on, more acne then the 8th grade itself, a Little Debbie wrapper graveyard surrounding them, constantly screaming up the basement stairs "HOLD THE F ON MOM, ILL TAKE THE TRASH OUT IN A MINUTE, IM AL CaPWNING SOME NOOBLETEER!".
