L$10,000 Build Contest

Yes, I said L$10,000

Object : A land sale sign.

Content : Must be sim/neighbor safe. No plain square box. It must be creative, unique to your own imagination, and eye-catching. The more interesting, the better chance to win. Full creative license on the project - my suggestions are just that... suggestions.

Timeframe : Today through Sunday 9/3/2006 8PM SL Time. Winner will be decided by 10PM SL Time on 9/3.

Rules : Must be unique - no ripoffs. Some sort of dragon theme recommended, but not required at all. I'd prefer a somewhat industrial design (metals) but any theme will work. More than one object can be submitted as an entry. Object should be light on the prims, as few as possible. You may submit no mod/no copy entries, however the winner will only get paid with a full mod copy being sent after selected. Winner will retain object ownership, and due credit to the creator will be given wherever applicable. A select panel of judges will judge the contest based on uniqueness, eye-pleasing, functional, and size/prim count. Object does not need to say "For Sale" anywhere, but my name or website (DragonKeen.com) should be incorporated on the object somewhere.

His attempt to characterize me as the swooper has failed, yet again (it's common practice from him and his gang of racketeers). In fact, I had a hand in on putting them out of the swooping business. These false and vindictive attacks from them, are just par for the course and clearly display lack of ethics.

Offering 10k, is a mere pittance of the 100s of 1000s of $L profited from taking $1 land from unsuspecting residents and then buying his reputation back.

People have elephantine memories here, land swooping will not be forgotten overnight and throwing money around to pollute the skies with advertising, is well....... you decide.

I'd have to assume it's people like you that have ruined the forums for everyone else forcing LL to work overtime babysitting your trolling ways. You should be banned from all forums for lack of any original thought and for countless attempts to highjack threads for your own personal crusade. Now back to the actual thread, nice idea about the signs Dragon as atleast it might help to create signs that are more visibly creative and attractive. I admit that when I first started selling land I used big obnoxious for sale signs stacked two and three high oblivious of other peoples likes or dislike for the signs. Now I use a small cube on the ground that is just big enough to see if your close. This might help other people realize the importance of keeping our sims looking nice. Once again great idea!!

The response would can expect from yet another "swooper". Truth is, land swoopers are the ones who have forced LL's hand to make changes in the last patch.

My "personal crusade" as you characterize it, is stopping the lack of ethical behavior from some so-called land dealers, but nobody expects another swooper to understand that. So your personal attack on me does little to divert from the poor reputation of others.

For example, I bought a parcel of land yesterday after the grid crash, then Weedy comes to look at it (interesting in buying as well) then proceeds to accuse me of baiting land. Too bad what she didnt realize is that after the grid crash, the database had a server delay, and I was alread speaking with a Linden about it to make sure it wasn't a grid-wide permanent issue.

Partly I am glad to see the forums go, it really has become a haven for the trolls more than any kind of intellectual conversation anymore (this thread being a fine example... contest offering gets trolled on). Weedy has to have the last word so she'll continue to reply until I stop replying to her, making her show even more of her mental age.

What a crock of shit. I have the screenshots. The land was advertised at 4300 Lindens, when I arrived (only seconds after it was listed) the price had been reset to 43000 Lindens and you and two of your cronies where hiding in a hole on the land next door. That's no bug, that's baiting.

Why on earth would someone own that many 16sqm plots? I bet your script causes some nice lag too. Your previous land scanner buddies sold all theirs, so what are your scripts up to? Sounds like your calling the kettle black to me and a lot of others. And dont say "oh well I have some lame retarded excuse to have 359+ 16sqm plots." Well what is it specifically?
