Hello everyone,
Sorry for the bad news , as of this upcomming Saturday June 18 2005, Spittoonie Island will be closing it doors.
Over the past number of monthes we have enjoyed the company of everyone who has visited us and made Spittoonie such a magical and special place. We really have appreciated your company and support.
This decision has come with allot of difficulty as really, Spittoonie was always first and foremost for you guys. Once again, thank you everyone.

This is a great shame. These are all labours of love - Spittoonie will never have made $195US/month for Trimda - thanks for subsidising it for us for so long.
We'll all miss ten pin bowling *sob*, although I'm sure everyone had a favourite.

This is very sad news. Spittoonie Island is one of the first places where I took any trial account friends and they all came out very impressed. No more power drop, 10 pin bowling or Slinko. Those who created that island did a superb job. It is/was a place that really added something to the world of Second Life. Thank you for the hard work and keeping it running as long as you did. As a member of the adjoining Samurai Island, it's very sad to see Spittoonie go.. Whenever I had some free time , I would cross the bridge to Spittoonie and go play some golf or ride the coaster. Thanks for all your great games Trimda, and also thanks for helping out Samurai Island with your killer scripting skills. I'm sure I'll see you around the grid!

We'll all miss ten pin bowling *sob*, although I'm sure everyone had a favourite. I'll add my voice to the grieving. This was one of the high points in SL for me. And I either take friends there or send the landmarks to new folks wanting to know "what is there to do?" Now there will be one less attraction NOT involving Tringo, club dancing or sex. Not that there's anything wrong with those -- in a free market economy like SL, competition is a harsh taskmaster. I just wish there was some way to find some profit in such a marvelous experience. Trimda, is there any chance someone else might buy it from you? If not will you be offering the scripts and prims to someone so that *some* parts of your incredible creation will still be around somewhere? Thank you for the fun. This one will *truly* be missed.

Thank you for keeping it open while you did.
Definitely was a job well done.
The rides were cool, and it was a very original and fun spot.

I had listed Spittoonie Island in my first "Pathfinder's Picks" list last week.
Such a great place for newbies.
Thanks for having it up for as long as you did.

Would you let people buy a bit each and run it jointly? I can't afford anything like the whole thing but I'd gladly contribute to this fun place.

Trimda not sure why your closing but I will miss taking new ppl to spittoonie. It was one of my favorite spots in sl. I agree with others when asked what is there fun to do in SL Spittoonie was on the top of my list. As a matter of fact it was one of the first places I took Clair too. Thank you for building it, what a beautiful dream it was.
Hugz you tight! Cat

This Amusement park was one of the 1st places I visited when I came to SL. I found myself laughing so hard at some of the fun I had there with people. It was one of the 1st places I took my RL brother (fertife fassbinder)when he 1st logged onto SL. It was a great accomplishment and I take my hat off to the people who created it. Good luck on further ventures.
