I am admiring the work of one of the best designers in SL, I am glad she amazingly got inspired by the well known Sweet leaf Creations Micro Bikinis that have been so successful in SL for the past 2 years.. when i bought the subject up to this designer that her micro bikini was the same design she became Hostile toward me and even modest saying

Micro Bikini's were not invented by you, and for you to tell me that I didn't have the right to make them was just irrational. Aces this is not the first time you have given me a hard time, and I am not suprised you brought this to the forums, being that you do not like drama and all... I haven't been around in SL a long time but I've seen the tremendous amount of objects and clothes that everyone can buy. It will be extremely difficult for anyone to come up with a very very unique design to call their "own". So, does that mean that we aren't allowed to create objects that resembles someone else's? Let's say Nike created the first sneaker in RL... does that mean that no one else is allowed to produce sneakers? Because, if that's the case, then, there's a whole lot of copycats out there.

my customers love my work and that's what matters Aces, that's really what is important here. That YOUR customers love your work. Keep them happy and focus on your work and good customer service. There will always be another designer that will have a similar product. |

Although the micro 'kini isn't really an "original idea" I hear your frustration. I've got a few of your suits, and if I want another, your's is the only store I'll shop at. (I won't step foot on that other person's sim, haven't been there for myself in almost a year now (though I've been dragged there with a friend or two, HEY! maybe after this they'll ban me and I can avoid trips there altogether.)
I'm still waiting to hear back from ya on my special 'kini...how's it coming along you Master of the Micro 'kini? This thread will probably be locked soon...hope this gets in. |
