The Face of ETD has been found!!

I didn't want to put this post in the Employment section of the Classifieds (as a follow up to my original post) because I figured it would be moved here anyway!

So without further delay the Face of ETD is none other than Willow Zander!!! The alternate is Trinitee Trilam!! (Attached a pic of both).

This by far was one of the toughest decisions I've had to make since I've been in SL. After I made the decision, it made the most sense. Willow Zander has been a customer since the beginning buying every style in EVERY color. She is the reason why I developed the "Willow Pack" cause she wanted all the colors in one pack. So, with that said Willow made the most sense...plus her avie is gorgeous!!

I would like to thank the 114 applicants, that flattered and humbled me by submitting their entries. I never expected 10 let alone 114. I am truly flattered. This has been a great experience and I can't wait to do it again

congrats to willow, wow, she is gorgeous!! i wish you and willow all the best in the next 6 months and can't wait too see what you do! love your hair, i wear it all the time...

Btw, I'd like to take this opportunity to tell ya how much your hair rocks, ET! I only recently discovered it after I saw someone wearing one I just had to have. I tp'd over to your store immediately, where I bought like half a dozen or more styles, and that was only the 'must have right now!' ones. I especially like your short styles, which is what I tend to wear but have never really found one I was truly happy with. Now I have like 3 that are just great! So thanks!

I've been trying to find this thread for about 2 hours! (Thanks Kris for finally helping me get here)

I gotta say YAYYYYY and a HUGE thank you to Elika, this is soooo exciting for me. She's right, I own EVERY style in EVERY colour and I am just looking forward to having more fabulous hair and having the chance to model for ETD!

Congrats to Trinitee too, and YAY and THANKS again to Elika for giving me this fab opportunity!

Now I am not sure about popularity, but I honeslty don't believe this was based on it.... Willow is a dedicated customer to many, and is one shopper that has been around the block lol Plus her avie is hot! Great choice!

Yes, I must say when it came down to it...my decision was not based on popularity at all. Willow needs absolutely no adjustment to any of my hairs...which helps with the time issue I have....and that was the number one thing I looked at. But also she made the most sense, because she is one of the best customers I have.

She also one of the original Hair Whores (a group of fans that TrinityLynn Skye made)...so basically she's an O.G.! LOL....which made me feel more right about this choice.

Although I must admit...Willow is pretty popular, especially among all the merchants, cause well...she's a shopping freak! But we love her the same. Congrats Willow! I can't wait to give you free hair

First let me start off I am do not hate willow nor am I jealous I was just stating the obvious after all not all of us have RL cash to spend in a game, and second incase u missed the fact I wished the both congrats I suggest rereading my post again and not have a bias in mind cus ur willows "friend" and lastly Elika I love ur hair but had I known the only way u were goin pick some one is if they spent tons of money in ur store AND had to be part of a fan group I would have told atleast 6 of my friends not to bother applying this is in no way ment to be rude but if you are all goin turn me into some bad guy for simply stating what I have observed then I might as well get in the role of one.


P.S. this is no way directed at willow or trinitee I am very happy they won they deserve it but this is directed at all of there friends making me to be the bad guy

I didn't see your post as harsh at all in my opinion. Alot of people feel the same way when they see these types of contests and the results. The last contest I recall seeing was for a designer who was looking for a different look for her store ads and ended up choosing someone who could have been her twin. In fact, I look at the current ads and can't really tell if it is the new model or still the designer, they are that similar. Why she said she wanted a different look and went for the same is beyond me, but to each her own ya know.

Sometimes I wonder why Designers bother with these types of things and get some peoples hopes up only to choose a close friend or a similar looking av. There are alot of people who are afraid to post an opinion on this type of thing for fear of backlash and jealousy accusations. I know with the last contest there were quite a few ladies that were really excited and thought they had a chance and their feelings got hurt when the person chosen had the same look as the person holding the contest. It was a slap in the face to some.

My suggestion on having these types of contests is to look around SL first, look at your friends or someone random who's style catches your eye and see if they would like to model for you instead of having a contest then choosing a friend or an av that looks like you.

Again, congrats to the winners, and Elika...keep making your awesome hair!

Just for the record here, firstly, I am a big customer of ETD sure, but ask any designer, i'm a big customer of most of them. Secondly, Elika and I are not "friends" in the sense of any desicions about this contest being influenced by it, I do the same with Elika that I do with alot of people who's products I enjoy (sooooooorrrryyy), I am friends with ALOT of people, designers and non designers alike, Its not like we hang out in world constantly or have huge gushy picks about one another (although when I put my wand on, I might stalk her >.>, But I am not sure where anyone is getting their information from and maybe people should stop assuming and start asking.

Rakshasha, I didn't see your post as an attack in any way, shape or form, you have an opinion as everyone is allowed, I just wanted to set a few things straight, although I have no reason in the world to do so.

It was a competition, I entered, like I entered Torrid's and others in the past , the only difference is, this time I won. Sure I was bummed I didn't get the other jobs, but then who wouldn't be! But at the end of the day, in 6mths time Elika will be running this compeition again, and the Face of ETD will be someone new, and I will just be thankful for the fun I had doing it for a while

You can't please everyone in a situation like this and I can only imagine how hard it must have been for Elika any anyone else that has been in this situation, and this! is why I do not design, too much stress for me

Anyways! Just wanted to rant that out a bit and have my say!

YAY! Contrats Willow. You have the most beautiful AV and your personality is even more so. Anyone who knows you knows that you were rite for this. I don't understand why being a good customer or an acquaintance of Elika's should make a difference. Elika has every rite to do what ever she wants to do with her competition. If other people do not like how it is done, then they have the option of not participating.

It is obvious that anyone who thinks otherwise is basing their conclusions on assumptions and incorporating their own failures and life losses. It amazes me how often I hear the so called 'adults' of SL crying about popularity. This is not high school. If someone is well liked, its for a reason and anyone who knows Willow knows that it is because she is the sweetest, nicest person you could ever meet. One thing she definitely would not do is accuse a well respected business person in our community of basing her business decisions on a popularity contest.

What ever reason Elika based her decision on, it was the right decision. Even if Willow wasn't such a shoppaholic or had never met Elika, she would still perfect for the job. Again, congratz to all! you are all very wonderful and deserve the best!

Willow u don't have to set anything straight, I wasn't directing the bit in my last post about what it takes to win at u in the least but something elika said of why it made the most sense to pick u. I am not saying in anyway u don't deserve to model her hair or anything of the sort I was just simply stating that if the contest was goin be based on things such as big spenders and fan groups I would have told ppl not to bother. I think she did a awesome job infact picking u but I just had hoped she would have been for other reasons other then the fact u spend lots of cash and are part of a fan group...
