Isle of Lesbos Attacked -- Economic Boycott Called For

On Monday, 24 June, the Isle of Lesbos was attacked. Two dance clubs, a shopping mall, and a public dungeon were destroyed. Losses amount to almost $5000 US. I am calling on every member of the Isle of Lesbos Lovers, every visitor who has appreciated this beautiful island and everyone else who has a sense of right and wrong to engage in an economic boycott of the rest of 2l until Linden Labs brings the culprit and his/her companions to justice. Specificly, I am asking that those of you who want a peaceful 2l experience refuse to work off the island of lesbos. Also, I ask you not to spend a nickle, farling, or yen off the island until Linden takes aggressive and appropriate action against the person(s) responsible. No club is safe, no merchant secure, until this type of hate crime is effectively delt with.

If you email support, they can roll back your sim if the actual sim owner asks them to.

Supposedly there is a hack tool one can buy in SL that alows you to get god mode and bypass permissions.

Why, nobody would reverse-engineer SecondLife for ill means! Such an insinuation is quite unfounded.

Before the rumors spread, this isn't true. Usually if a post begins with "supposedly" then it will be false. There are commands those type of commands that show up, but they do nothing if you click on them. Silly, silly, cherub.

Everything can and should be reverse engineered and the information shared. Except for e-meters and OT3... i'll sue you into the stone-age if you try.

Back to the topic at hand....Your a complete idiot. First...Nothing is actually lost, it's just damaged or sent away for a lil while. Things return or you need to fix things. Also organizing a boycot is just plain idiotical. If you need money to bring everything back, then ask for it. Don't go on a rampage about shithappening that you can't do anything about. LL has no way of finding out who did what on a land unless someone is there to get a picture or a log. Fingerprints aren't left at the scene of the crime like they are here.


Do us all a favor and shut up about the damn attack and just plain ask for money to help rebuild.

Nimrods right, the tools can't actually bypass permissions or ban users (unless you are already a Linden). Mostly its for greater camera control and viewing sim stats (useful for estate owners).

Yes the godmode tool cant do jack about selling land. Did you buy the land just b4 a grid crash??? or a sim crash?? That is the most logical reasoning behind it. Mabye an officer sold the land if its group owned. Simply put something cant be destroyed or lost especially land unless 1 an officer in a group puts it up for sale or 2 you purchased it b4 a grid crash and it rolled back. If people destroyed items that you owned check who has mod rights to your items and revoke them its likely that is what happened if it was just items.

Uh, I just read a post where somebody tested the GodMode tool and (according to them) YES, it can delete anything - once deleted it does not return or appear in anybody's inventory.

actually menu i highly doubt they tested it. Its most likely hear say or basing stuff on what is in the menu. Just because its there doesnt mean its a function that actually works.

I'm going to guess the "culprit" is bad group management and too much trust placed in the wrong hands.

Even though I'm a guy, this was my favorite clubbing spot. I was all about the hot sexy trance they had pumping throughout the entire island... supposedly NOTHING was lost and everything appeared in Jane's inventory in Lost & Found (I think I have the name right... she owns the island).

People shouldn't talk down this issue... it's huge. I mean this is to lesbians like Rainbow Tiger is to furries... if such a thing was destroyed, it would demolish half the fun of SL.

I just hope Jane did email or better yet, call support and request a roll-back. If she owns the sim, she should be able to do this.

dont be nieve, there are loads of ppl who play this game just to have cyber sex and fuck around with other gamers, all though i dont really think lebos was attacked id have to see it for myself but i do belive that a hack has been developed to allow that. because many of you have veiwed the many other funny hacks and clothing mods (ie: penis's vaginas, all the costumes all the sex estures the flying mods and the basic designing clothes and other hardware. it would be diffucult but not immpossible to invent such a hack, but saying that no one would is rediculious. and frequent SL goer would do anything for linden power of the administraters. I know i would. I dont mean to attack you, but its a sad truth. every world has evil in it. virtual or not.

This is The owner of Isle Of Lesbos. I se there are a lot of musunderstanding on this matter.I am sorry for my bad English as i am Norwegian.
First off all the eas a attack with several bombs all over the sim at the same time. This bombs was maybe 60 or 70 at the same time there was shooting from 6 or 7 ppl on us.
I had all kinds of experst and non experst to look in to this,there are likr 5 diff opinions on wat happend and why.There are officers/was with rights that can have delted items, but this did come back in to the lost/found folder...wel we contackted Linden and did a "rollback" in the sim. Som thing failed but i am rebuilding the sim. The other matter are money,,i dident ask for any money at all, its not a matter of money its a matter of rebuilding a lovly place and some of the users got wery upset. Isle Of Lesbos are now better then ever. The damage was bout 300.000 L$ in laborwork to builders...lucky i got so many friends that now halp me...i will specly give Thanks to The Star fleet Command
