Can this be verified? And if this thing actually does what the thread below says it does (or any part thereof), what plans does LindenLabs have to ensure our intellectual property is protected, and we are protected from griefing?

Quoting the post here in case it gets deleted by the original author in the thread I pulled it from:

For the record, yes, I'm an Alt for an older account, and people should be very concerned about this God Mode. Here are the facts that I have determined so far:

1: The camera panning works past draw distance, but not past the constraints of the Mini-map, which covers about 4 sims. Selecting objects (if they are visible) at these distances also works.

2: Within the God Mode "Object" sub-menu "Delete" works on any object in SL. The objects are permanently deleted from thier location in SL. They don't get returned to the lost objects folder, or show up in the trash folder of anyones inventory. This includes locked objects, so nothing is really safe any more until LL patches this with another update. Possible proof of this exploit being abused might be here.

3: Mapping anyone that is logged in works without a hitch.

4: It is also possible to copy objects that would otherwise not be copyable. This is a tricky one because not all instances work. Possible reasons may be the permissions settings on multiple linked prims.

5: Transfer owner permissions does not work with objects. Neither does transfer of ownership with objects.

I have stayed away from messing with the land and terrain exploits mainly because I don't want to mess up other peoples stuff. Apparently these features, in God Mode (if they work), affect entire Sims.

The item is actually for sale on SLexchange.com:

While the product being sold on SLX does indicate that it will not perform the actions it is mentioned being able to perform in the quote above, I personally think this warrants an official response.

Not happy about Linden Labs purchase of XStreet (formerly SLX) and OnRez. Will this mean LL will ban resident run online shoping outlets in favor of their own?

I'm going to inquire further about this so we can have an official clarification and dispel any inaccuracies.

Internal testing has been done and #2 and #4 are not true.

#3 is a concern we do intend to address.

The server-side powers aren't enabled.
