Hi all,
Sorry if this has been asked before but a forum search didn't turn up anything. I was wondering if there was some way to remap the controls. I personally use DXZC instead of WSAD (this was the default in Doom I and I've been stuck ever since).
Thanks.

Hi Omni, a warm welcome to SL and the SL Forums. Alas, no, at the present there isn't an easier way to do what you want. And BTW, I know the forum searches have some glitches, but you may wish to use the Advanced Search: /invalid_link.html"remap keys" (I have results set to show as Posts) turned up threads like: However, having been in a situation like yours before, if you have a macro program that can override keys and direct one shortcut to another, you can easily make your own. For example, I highly dislike Ctrl-T to bring up the Instant Message window. It's a bit of a turkey shoot. So, I created a new macro to use Ctrl-Space. Very easy and increases productivity. I imagine you could also get DXZC to do it this way, altho you may have problems with D doing conflicting things--not sure of that, but it's worth a go. Best of hope. =]

Update: O good news! I'd forgotten about this earlier, but there is a better way. Thanx to the several helpfuls who pointed it out to me. Go to this directory:
C:\Program Files\SecondLife\app_settings
and just open up keys.ini in a text editor and change the keys as you wish. One thing to remember: backup your key bindings because I think they will be replaced on the next version install.
