Hmmmm... Did you all read this thread I started? /130/dc/105656/1.htmlYou should. I wrote it right after I read the thread tha tAnshe started entitled "Announcing the Second Life Land Store Boycott" found at: /130/a2/93321/1.html So now she is going AGAINST her own advice?

Wow, a thread with "Anshe" in the title and it actually managed to make it to the second page before degenerating into a mudfest. Almost two whole pages of relevant, interesting economic discussion! Must be some kind of record.
And, to forestall the predictable silly accusations, 1 I am not an alt of anybody 2 I don't work for anybody 3 I do own (rent/lease) land in Dreamland (about 1/3 of my total land holdings) 4 I am not now, nor have never been a member of the Communist Party

From: nimrod Yaffle /139/80/97580/1.html "However, intimidation do not work with Anshe. Nobody can buy, bribe, scare or strong arm Anshe Chung." "Linden Lab can not control me." Seems to me that they did a good job of controlling her when she didn't pay her bill.

From: Melina Loonie Maybe she does, but not all of the people that work for her. This is at least my experience which caused me to give up all my AC land.
Mel I had the same feeling... about two angels.. I have meet one 110% ashole and one that seams not to know what he talked about... I have left. From now I am living in the Otherland Archipelago. /Tina PS: The owner herself have been AL from very very nice, to nice to not answering my questions.. mail or at this forum or her own forum (the text was taken away) ... she offered me free land (not free tier) to make it up. But I decided to move as its the angels that I must talk to..

Hi just a lil' reminder to please keep the discussion focused on Land and the Economy as is appropriate in this forum, and not to stray into personal attacks against Anshe Chung or any other Resident. Thanks.

From: Dhalia Unsung its rare to see warnings about this though... I think this was really more of a reminder than a warning. I think if Torley had felt it strayed into that territory already, he would have closed it, but he hopes that we can all have a mature discussion about land, the economy, and the metaverse's megacorps without plunging into personal attacks. Am I right, Tor? Tell me I'm right!

From: Dana Bergson I honestly hope that Linden Lab will change some of the procedures regarding reservations auctions to stop these silly games. They do nothing to further the development of Second Life. They are just a new way to needle and bully other residents that you hold a grudge against. Really. This whole reservation system makes little sense to me when private islands are not supposed to interact with other islands to which they are not connected. It should be trivial to move a sim or cluster of sims anywhere on the grid, or even so far removed from the other sims on the map as to appear 'off the grid'. It seems to me this is just another bullshit method for LL to make $$ off of residents. Unless LL intends to completely fill the grid with void water sims, that is... and I don't see that happening in the near future. -Ghoti

I know, that's why I prefer to think of this as a reminder. I think a true warning would have been harsher, and might well have caused the degeneration of the thread in and of itself. Hopefully with Torley's reminder we can all remain civil for a few more pages.

From: Blakar Ogre Well while everybody is heralding the doom and downfall of LL, it's economy, ... Anshe seems to disagree enough to reserve 48 sims. I can't blame here, if she uses the publicity Business Week brought her she should be able to pull it off. Anshe is a Goddess.... A True Capitalist

From: Torley Linden Yes--I certainly hope so. Hey Torley, just a question... IS it a new policy or do i not get around the forums often enough? Cause I cant recall very many "warnings" such as this.
