It happened last night sometime. You will see that the volume of blocks sold is much higher then usual, plus there are multiple 1M+ groups sitting on the sell side of the market. The leader boards show that IGE Amabassador is no longer on the leader board, and that Zeppi gained over 12ML$ yesterday.

Geee! One block of a million Lindens is worth £2,000,000 GBP, or $4,000,000 USD! People, WHAT IS GOING ON??? No, hold it, I think I missed a few decimal places... Oh, L$1,000,000 is only worth £20,000. That's nothing compared to what I thought it was, but still more cash than I've yet seen in my lifetime. So there might be up to £100,000 floating on GOM at the moment. Damn. That is a big pile of money. |

I think without mentioning names a very large continent owner, coughs landbaron and their business partner also had about 8-9million too have both dissapeared, so three names have vanished from leader board.

Ha, pressure from the rich people. I don't like SL anymore. I think it's becoming corrupt. It's becoming all about the richest people in SL. A few have too much money and influence, and the ability to crash the Linden dollar in one swift movement. |

Hmm. *starts cooking up juicy conspiracy theories* I dunno quite where but, looking at the gained section, gom gaine 12 mil yesterday, which more than ige had alone, and considering they also had a very busy sales day with 6k blocks, anshe and the other account had 8 mill ish, so a 6k block drop is a loss of 6mil from the gom account then add 10mill from ige and 8 mill from ansche and the other account would leave gom 12mill up on the day? Hows that for a conspiracy theory lolol _____________________

As someone who semi-follows the GOM (it is quite interesting while trying to learn about stock market stuff - and I've only used them one time to sell Lindens for my NY trip)...
What does this event actually mean? Does it mean the buying price is about to drop drastically? If so, would the selling price be driven up if we had a mass amount of people suddenly start buying due to the lower prices? Just trying to understand what this could mean out of curiosity.  _____________________

How could they let so much of the currency get into so few hands, so that these people can smash the entire currency with an easy stroke. I used to have about £600 GBP in Lindens, I was one of the biggest account holders with Ginko. That money was for my first house. I'm damn glad I cashed out some months ago. You won't see my money in SL for dust  |
