This is one of the best threads I have read in ages.
The lack of tolerance on all sides of this issue is mind-numbing. You are either a capitalist or a communist. You are either here in SL for fun (and I guess that means your life is a waste) or you are here to make money (and I guess that means you are a dumbass since surely there are better ways to make money).
Too funny!
The first correct answer, BTW, is that anyone who receives a stipend is receiving one as part of their deal with LL. It is not welfare. The seond correct answer is that SL is WHATEVER YOU WANT IT TO BE -- fun, work, whatever.

It is my hobby, why should I subsidide the big land barrons by giving up my stipend that I pay for in hard American Dollars? If anything it is the land barrons that make money from renting land that is paid for mostly from free accounts that is earned camping! Talk about the kettle calling the pot dirty! |
