Pugcharlie, I am impressed with the way you've handled this matter.

Thanks Osprey,

It's a matter of adapting to the way things are done In World. Its's not to say the events made me joyful and my tier did go up. But in the end, at the very least, I have my water, have tons of fun, and the total tier cost ($40) is a fraction of what I would be spending on cigarettes if I hadn't quit 01/29/1999 (2 1/2 packs a day)!

The only way to have empty water, is to own it, or be next to Govenor Linden owned water. So to have a pristine view, not only are you going to pay very high prices, but you will have to buy most of the underwater land if you want a water view. Keep in mind, that waterfront is one of the lowest available, highest demanded peices of land.

Hey, I'm a n00b. Is there any reason that you couldn't build scenery screens (like a giant imax screen outside your livingroom, assuming you have the prim budget? Is it too hard to make it look good? Seems like you could put the beaches of Maui around your place even if you build in the middle of an urban dump (which is what most of the world looks like to me so far).

Quick adjustment to Dark Korvin's remarks...

...Linden owned land is not outlined in purple. It is outlined in red like other "not-for-sale" land...the only way to know is to check the land owner. Purple outlined land is land that is currently up for auction.

Anyway...the entire post is a perfect example of why all of us should be very careful when purchasing land AND get to know the neighbors where we choose to live :) Personally, it takes me about 7-14 days before I find a parcel when I'm in the market...and I NEVER pay more than 7 Linden/sq. m. on mature land.
