Well, I bought my first land for $512, then gave it to my roomie for free so I could buy another 512 without tiering up and we could share it. However her credit card had a glitch. She thought she was on the monthly pay setup but wasnt. So she wasnt able to jump to premier member quick enough and couldnt support the 512 tier. Notified the Lindens of our problem but got no help. Then the 'powers that be' put a hold on the transaction and then gave the land back to the governor. So ripped off? Maybe not technically, but sure felt like it. Luckily it was only 500 bucks and not 15000.

Just got first land

Maybe waiting till I was 4 months old had a lot to do with it, but my first land purchase was great  Found a place near the water, far from telehub, and a mature sim where I've built my first house. I can't see how I could possibly be "pressured" in to selling. I'd just mute the person. |

Well, I sold my first land for 20 wooden cubes. Then a couple days later I learned I could make as many cubes as I wanted myself. Boy, did that suck.

I have a prety original "ripoff", i ripped off myself. This is the 1-2-3 step how-to-ripoff yourself tutorial:
1. Create a premium account
2. Create a private group
3. Donate the 512 land to that group
4. Notice you can't purchase first land anymore.
(btw. i ripped off myself 2x, i donated on both my accounts before noticing it )
Any better ?
