It was suggested premiums get less as the rate 'drops.' I'd call that debating that premiums shouldn't get 500 a week.
Well your post had nothing to do with the post by Green Panther that you quoted.

And I care why? I was responding to Greens assertation that people asking for their premium stipend are 'gimme.'

Not an amount based on the fluctuations of a market I don't use. If you use the currency you use the market, if only indirectly. _____________________

Cow Hand,
What you signed up for is what is called an "open contract". Since you agreed to it, LL has no obligation to raise the stipend a single L$. |

What I'm saying is that what I originally thought I was signing up for (and somewhat what was pitched to me) is actually different - even materially different - than when I "signed" the electronic agreement. I'm just asking to be made whole, instead of receiving a fixed amount of L$ that are increasingly worth less. Thats all. I am not trying to exploit anything. |

1.4 Second Life "currency" is a limited license right available for purchase or free distribution at Linden Lab's discretion, and is not redeemable for monetary value from Linden Lab. You acknowledge that the Service presently includes a component of in-world fictional currency ("Currency" or "Linden Dollars" or "L$" ![]() http://secondlife.com/corporate/tos.php _____________________

Oh yes I forgot the toher player in this little thing that brught about the demise of 80% of the inworld customer base....a certain land baroness dumping huge blocks of L dirt cheap on e-bay right along with the other lunatics. Stipend had NOTHING to do with the fall of L value. It was al manipulated by those who have a ton of L's...the day traders. I'm sorry, but this is incorrect. _____________________

Well, I certainly didnt think I was signing up for 30% inflation in 3 months. Hyperbole. That would mean that the Linden was around 250/$ three months ago. It was no where near 250 three months ago. And although it was around 250 in the fall very briefly when the Lindex opened, it hasn't been anywhere near 250 regularly for over a year. _____________________
