You can put one on my property in Star. The Starlight Diner is listed in places with its coordinates. Better luck to you today.

You are welcome to use our property in Taber, as well as FairChang Island and FairChang Project.

We have some small store plots too in Grignano, Brauer, Brown, Kuula, Isere, Yelas, Furness if you need.

I think self-replicating a prim about the grid that scans and then dies is OK.

Basically, I have added a timetodie to my scanner which checks to see if we're after a certain timestamp and then llDies().

This way you're only using the grid for a few hours rather than days or weeks at a time.

Just make sure you are very very confident in what you are doing.

I am not using self-replication here, this is all done through manual deployment.

No ammount of confidence in an automated system prepairs you for the unexpected.

What a plesent surprise to wake up to, I think I have people willing to let me use land for my project in half of SecondLife, Thank you all who have volunteered land for this, I will get with you as soon as I clean up the old mappers from yesterday.

I had used one of my development models, and it's configuration was for an older version of the mapping system.

I have land in Periwinkle (48,128), Derwent (152,216) & Kojin (120,14) that you are welcome to use for your scanners, Ice.

Just out of curiosity, how many prims are in your scanners? My Periwinkle property doesn't have a lot of prims open (maybe 25 or so), but the other two have tons available.

Are you going to publish the results of this mapping?

Sign up Gualala, and I have other plots you can use as well. I can't wait to see this data in a GIS format too. I'll have some more info on that for you soon. ^_^

Yes, though my map rendering portion isn't finished just yet, when I can render the world map fast, there will be a link on this or subsequent threads, all people who have volunteered land will get the link directly.

I'm really interested to see what kind of data you come up with in a project on this scale. Feel free to use my land in Drawbridge (160, 81), and best of luck with you project, Ice!

I have some land in Yamato ... you are welcome to use a bit for your project. Just let me know where you put it so I can be careful about returns. And for how long you anticipate needing it. :)

I recommend one of the currently vacant parcels that are group owned by Viri Fidi. Let me know if you need a specific landmark to use.

Sido
Garrison
DaBoom

I would love to see the results of the mapping project.

I didn't see you mention Bishop in your initial list strangely, but I don't mind one on my land. I can also probably get you access to a Davvi parcel.

Of course, Hank has them both covered, but just in case.

If you need one for Kasba, youre welcome to use The Temple of Enki. @ 192,192 or so.
This is the type of scanning I can definately get behind. Asking permission, sharing the
data, woot!

Ehe, still have to track down a nasty backend bug at the moment, I'll keep this (ever growing) list open to submission, because I'll need it once I squash my bugs. ^.^ thank you again, all of you.

Note 1. My list of sims is horridly out of date (already) due to amazingly large reply.
Note 2. I've opted to work on a system to semi-automate this as the demand has become so great.

Thank you all, I'll be using this thread as the first point of contact for the web form I'm currently working on for this.

Ice, I can provide web space for you. Will you need just a static location, or will it be dynamically updating? Will you need/want an account to modify it?

And what is the 'policital' information that you're grabbing?

Yes, the group has three members, but since I am also another member, you could count this as majority permission. ;-)
