Should the following kinds of threats be allowed?

Thanks for the heads up Clinton. I did not know that. Both the forum and SL in-world dates on my profiles are November 2004. I must have posted something way back then. I'll keep this in mind.

I can believe they are so lax ... they always seem to take a vacation when it comes to applying the rules to /some people/.

Don't assume malice - ignorance or apathy are better first approximations when you can't understand why someone is doing something.

With regard to professionalism and consistency, LL has already amply demonstrated that they have oodles of ignorance and apathy. For example, if you are going to play favorites among your customers, don't let the other customers know about it; this business principle has probably been known since the dawn of commerce but somehow manages to evade LL.

I personally think that these threads are getting out of hand, parodizing Anshe Chung's initial thread was valid the first time, but this has degraded to immature name-calling and finger-pointing.

People that are making fun of Anshe's grasp of english as a third (correct me if I'm wrong) language need to stop and think -- how many of you speak chinese and/or german (again, correct me if I'm wrong) as well as Anshe Chung speaks english. I have the utmost respect for people who take the effort to learn another tongue, and poking at someone's inability to speak english as well as you can isn't funny, it's pathetic.

I respect Anshe Chung as a person, and respect her ability to create such a successful business with such a small initial investment. This shows incredible skill and acumen, as well as a certian amount of ruthlessness characteristic of most large businesses.

I personally think this current practice of ANSHECHUNG.COM publically libeling and openly threatening competitors is scandalous, and find such business practices deplorable. I sincerely hope ANSHECHUNG.COM will reconsider their current course, and cease attempting to tarnish the reputation of a company wtih an otherwise perfect track record.

I would like to see all of these threads over and done with so we can all get on with our lives, without dividing into seperate camps, and getting into pointless (excuse the expression) pissing contests to see who can have the last word in the matter.

I have to agree with clinton my only thing that is really worried me about this whole thing is that anshe seems to be allowed to break the terms of service by publising peoples personal details, i dont want to see this topic closed because it should go to private messages, but i want to see that adressed, all people on secondlife should be treated with the same rules, no matter how many sims they own.

Hell, maybe I'm old school, but SL is an unregulated situation. I think that with many people, threats are the only way to make a point.

But I'm still waiting for a script to let me strangle people through their computer connections, so I'm not what you would calla balanced person.

putting aside the threat...i have to wonder if she meant 'cost me millions of LINDEN dollars' or 'cost me millions of US dollars' because if she meant US dollars...no wonder LL isnt saying a word to her....just a thought

I bet if I came in here and posted fifty threads about how much Anshe is a fish for having loads of money, I'd be banned at the drop of a hat. Consequently I bet the Lindens have plenty of hats to drop, bought with OUR US$!!! Why is no one DEMANDING that they account for ever US$ THEY'VE spent?!?!?!!?

This is ridiculous, instead of complaining about everyone complaining, why doesn't everyone just shut-up. From now I'm not posting, because I didn't care when it started, and I don't care now.


P.S - For anyone who doesn't get the hat thing, I'm making a snide, satirical comment about Anshe is waging war with Ginko yet leaving others alone.
