GAWWWD...I wish there were some fookin consistency on processing credits. It seems that the head button pusher is on vacation AGAIN...so no credits in a week now. I know it doesn't do a damn bit of good to bitch.
Here's hoping another exchange will compete soon. If they have a one-eyed, deaf-mute for a customer service rep. it will be 200% better than the Lindex, and they will get all of my business.
Anyone know the Customer Service phone number for Lindex? Thought so.
Get it together LL!! You're collecting 10's of thousands in fee's and were lucky to get our money within a week. *shakes head*
Even an ATM says Thank You for your business.

You could always just use an outside exchange and this wouldn't be the issue, but then you'd be reliant on them working properly and paying you out correctly and that means giving yet another person your paypal address.

My last process credit history transaction was started on 21 August and completed on 28 August. They are just slow.

From: Lee Dimsum Project Entropia? Yup. Takes about 50 - 90 Days to withdraw, so five business days in comparison is quite fast

You should be grateful that you even have the opportunity. Most online games don't provide a game > real money facility, let alone a full exchange system - even if it is flaky and easily abused.
Like many things in SL, nothing is guaranteed - so you'll just have to deal with it.

Lewis,
The whole "be grateful" statement shouldn't be used to justify Linden Lab's slow response to processing credits. Especially in the case of people who get their credits well after the 0-5 business days stated on Lindex.
While it is indeed great that Linden Labs has a system in place to trade game currency for USD, they shouldn't be given a hall pass to treat the most essential part of it as if it was low priority. Besides, criticism such as Stroker's will only give another opinion on the importance of timely payouts.
It is absolutely important that Linden Labs follows their own policy with consistency.

From: Jimbo Spinnaker Besides, criticism such as Stroker's will only give another opinion on the importance of timely payouts. What makes Stroker - or anyone else - more important than someone else? If I was to cash out $20 once every 6 months, does that mean I have less right to be upset about a delay than someone who cashes out $2000 every month? Of course not. From: Jimbo Spinnaker It is absolutely important that Linden Labs follows their own policy with consistency. Why should this policy be treated any different than anything else when it comes to Linden Lab fairness? Lewis

Because Linden Lab are trying to attract "paying" customers. Nothing puts people off more than a service that takes your money in an instant and waits a week to give it back ( yes there are RL places that do that - but normally they are high interest accounts ). Linden Labs' whole approach towards the payment system is, at the least archaic - one person sitting down and feeding it all thru the system manually ! How the hell do they expect to cope with a million - or 2 million customers ? Automate it and be done. Yes keep someone watching it - give them a backup so they can go on vacation - yes keep the fraud screening - But put SOMETHING in place that is CONSISTANT, RELIABLE, and FAST.

For those who who may not be aware, SL Exchange almost always sends PayPal payments within 24 hours.

Lewis I hate this statement. I should never be grateful for the money I EARNED out of my hard work. You're so condescending -- you don't make shit, don't tell me how to feel.

You're so condescending -- you don't make shit, don't tell me how to feel. That's pretty much how I feel. While most of us are 'grateful' for the opportunity to be able to make money from Second Life, it's a pretty rediculous thing to insinuate that we should somehow be more lenient on Linden Labs compared to any other company when it comes to actually PAYING us for the value we are providing to THEM. There are many reasons they are providing us these services in the first place, which include among them the fact that providing content for THEM enriches their product for virtually no cost to them. Our benefit is being able to count on Linden Labs to handle our direct transactions with customers as a convenience. In this respect, if I percieve Linden Labs as being SLooooooow, I have every right I can think of to complain, and I don't really need to listen to someone tell me I should somehow be 'grateful' for the opportunity, as if I'm some hobo soliciting a quarter at the front door of a bank.

You're so condescending -- you don't make shit, don't tell me how to feel. I too work hard in Second Life - but because I do it for enjoyment, and to provide something for the community, are you trying to tell me that it's not work because I don't do it for profit? Whatever money I make goes into uploading fees and buying stuff that I can't make from other people, in order to enhance my SL experience. Lewis

From: Lewis Nerd What makes Stroker - or anyone else - more important than someone else? Well Stroker's cuter in his RL pic than some residents I've seen. He's also part of the butter on LL's bread.
