Boardman is just special and unique, the feel of it is unlike any in SL, sure its not for everyone, but there is clearly a demand for it. Just like player owned zoned sims are flourishing, Azure islands and AnsheContinent are huge and growing every day. The only difference is Boardman is owned by many people and its not designed for anyone to profit from. There is more pride in personal ownership than just a parcel of land you are renting. I think that is what sets it aside from other communities.
it doesnt suprise me that its this high, Julia sold her boardman land the other day, I ended up gladly spending all the lindens I had plus had to buy about $60 worth of lindens for it. I think it equaled out to about $100 USD. Im just lucky i had the tier to take it all.

scarcity value actually plays very little. I remember when boardman was a ghost town it wasn't until ingrid and co moved in did it become a desireable place to be. Actually it wasn't until Ingrid moved in and did a LOT of work fixing up the place did it become desirable. She's really busted her butt working on the place. |

Actually it wasn't until Ingrid moved in and did a LOT of work fixing up the place did it become desirable. She's really busted her butt working on the place. ingrid has put a lot of work into it (isnt that what made her a cool kid?), Jack Linden has also done a lot of work redoing roads and the market. Ingrid owns a lot of land in Boardman but most of it is community orinted. She pays the tier for the non-denominational church, ice cream parlor, public pool, and park. Also schwanson owns the soccer feild. If it wasnt for such efforts Boardman wouldnt be desireable at all. I wish we had more before pictures to compare, i tried to take them in approx the same locations. _____________________

Ingrid did clean it up and made it look good. A lot of people helped keep it cohesive. I know it doesn't come out on the rocketboom edit, but I took Amanda there, and she LOVED it. Thats all the validation I need. She was total newbie material, you know?
