Sort of liek the 'special rights' you want to exercise in limited peoples business?

The dreaded 'h' word looms close.

I just don't think any of this would work at all. If I needed to be at my store in order for it to be open, It would be difficult to sell things. Plus the fact that I'm a late nighter anyways doesn't help. Zoning would be nice, but shouldn't that be up to the residents?

ONE MORE TIME: NOT EVERY STORE/SHOP WOULD HAVE TO HAVE RESTRICTED BUSINESS HOURS, _ONLY_ THE RESOURCE HOGS -- THOSE BUSINESSES WHICH SHARE SIMS WITH OTHERS WHO ALSO DESERVE THE USE OF SIM RESOURCES.

Try reading before opening mouth, son.

This has been discussed ad nauseum. LL has posted plans to allow resident-run zoning... read up on them :)

Resident-applied zoning would only apply to your own property. Furthermore, anytime a plot of land was sold, it would be rezoned by the new owner... making ANY effort at zoning totally irrelevant.

What we need is a kind of zoning which would allow someone to choose the zoning for the purpose they're going to use the land for, either residential or commerical, or allow them to buy land that could be used for either, if they don't mind having neighbors who could be noisy or very busy (and resource-hungry) businesses.
