Well one thing is for sure when the big company competition for SL comes that charges $30 a month for better service & even more features learnt from mistakes here. All us horrible Premium land owners will stop pouring RL $ into LL and let all the non RL$ contributors support LL and pay their techs with inworld money

It should be free for everyone, why would LL need more money? <Sarcasm Mode Off>
Ebay should stop charging commissions on sales too I suppose.
WoW should be free for all too.
Actually why should I pay for a 60GB, 22,000kbps link when others get dialup for free?

It just amazes me that so many are so reluctant to invest $9 a month in something they love, but can still afford a late model computer & highspeed internet connection.

There was a smaller MMO once I was looking at playing, product seemed ok got on a trial account, when I when into it more I found there was a huge uproar in the forums because it had just gone out of beta, people had been playing it free in beta for 2-3 years and decided they had earned the right to continue playing for free forever. They grouped & threatened to leave rather than pay, and many must of, because a few months later, the site was gone, I guess they were happier.............

I went premium because I wanted to buy a 1000m block of land to build a house, yes my unfathomable dispicable greed & selfishness knows no boundries.............

When do we get to the feature suggestion part of the thread?

Perhaps the OP could demonstrate what posting something useful means by, oh, say, anwering some questions other users have posted on how to script or make animations or make textures.

At this point LL has had its developers steamrolled and burned and fried and baked and seared by irate users so many times that they are moving into the next phase of operations..... which is to build up a very thick skin and continue on with the development anyway, in spite of the whiners and the bitchers.
Probably a customer service buffer layer may eventually be brought in to shield the LL developers, and those people will be paid to field the endless abuse that the now irate general userbase hurls at any Linden who innocently happens to wander by.

Hmm yes I haven't sen a Linden in 4 months online with some insane hours, but I can't blame them for not wanting to be abused for things nothing to do with them, posting anything in the blog at all good news or not is like sticking your head in a lions cage, perhaps they should just put one person per shift on the blog for posting, someone who can reply as needed and keep comments open by moderating in the right blog and has the guts to verbally kick crap out of those that need it. The serial whiners might leave, but would we miss them?

The Lindens are like our Royal family I suppose, but when they stop being seen, what good is a Monarchy I suppose?

Hmm yes I haven't sen a Linden in 4 months online with some insane hours

I saw Frontier Linden just the other day. Don't remember what time, but not too long (an hour or two) after I went to bed (at 4, 5 or 6am I forget which). I'm SLT + 3 (or EST).

The biggest whiners and bitchers are those who have tried to develop businesses on top of the shifting sands of something that is explicitly described as unfinished. Is it LL's fault that your business model fails because the environment isn't as stable as you were thinking, before you invested thousands of your own money into something you KNEW wasn't finished to begin with?

Yep, it is the fault of those damn customers always complaining that has caused LL to become unresponsive. It has nothing at all to do with faults in the service or endemic corporate unresponsiveness. Damn customers!

As LL has long been promoting SL as a place to create businesses, they create an expectation. How dare those customers try and bring that expectation to fruition? Stupid customers!

disclaimer: I have neither a business in game and as a "lifer" I don't send money any longer to LL.

so you did that on your own choice....not cause someone told you to. yes we all go premium to buy our land or w/e the case is that we decide to do on our own. it is an option not law that you go premium. so once again quit the crying. your last comment there made no sense at all. i'm not the cry baby about wanting access over anyone else cause "omg i pay more, i create more, damnit the world revolves around me"

this thread, technically, is not a "Feature Suggestion".. it has also been rife with flaming and at this point has simply outrun any course it may have been on.
