From: William13 Enoch They would have to take a regular name like anyone else, but be under contract not to divulge that name to any other Lindens as there actual identity. To avoid preferential treatment. That would not happen hough sadly... They would just relog as thier normal "alt" Linden and resolve whatever issue they are having... Can you imagine "Imnotalinden Oh" logging in and seeing his next door neighbour has created giant spinning advertising cubes next to his popular hangout, and wanting it to be resolved by the new "uber internal" concierge team? Not a slant against LL employees, but i'm sure it would be a temptation too far amongst most "same level" employess in a large company. Gomez

Was going to say I never surf the net at workin, since I don`t currently have a job, and when I do work it`s in labor, NO without computers. But then I realized, stay at Home Husband and Father, kinda does count as a job So there goes that idea

The other night I was at a blues club with my main babe who kept POOFing, was left standing there all by myself, what was a guy to do? so I asked all the ladies sitting & chilling to dance with me. I got a bite from this... well, she looked like a biker chick. We danced, we talked, and come to find out she works directly for the Lindens. A programmer. Well she confirmed there are two factions in the Linden house. most of the synergy is generated by those who are not politically entwined. the higher up in the hierarchy the worse it gets. I mentioned the hangout and she would like to visit sometime just to chill and dance. anyway, the employees independent and those who work direct are in here. As far as seeing a ruling Linden in here among the peasants, not a chance.

From: FD Spark I heard a rumor those who can afford high end computers and internet bandwidth don't lag as much....I wouldn't know this for sure because I don't have high end computer, etc in fact my system is on the low end of current the requirements. The rumor probably has some foundation.... Although I love Torley's video tutorials, it always makes me wince when he gets impatient because something lags ever so slightly, like a box does not rez immediately, or when search takes more than a milli-second to update. Obviously, for the purpose of making a tutorial you want an absolutely wonderful connection and a wonderful top-end PC, but I do wonder how many Lindens actually experience the combination of: - a generally affordable PC - a reasonably justifiable spend on a graphics card for someone giving SL a first look - a cable, dial-up or wireless connection to SL that is not hardwired to the LL office LAN Is it really any wonder why 99 per cent of sign ups just walk away after ten minutes of being in-world, even when generally speaking everything server side is working perfectly? It takes, I reckon, about two or three hours for most people who are likely to enjoy the SL environment to work out what SL is all about and decide that it is their bag. When was the last time anyone here had three hours uninterrupted flawless use of SL? That is the bar you have to achieve to keep (most) new people in SL, IMO.
