Hi! I have only been in-world for almost a week and my favorite past time is building in Cordova/Sandbox (well that is until I got my Land for Landless plot on the volcano! Talk about a view!!!) Anyway, my suggestion is a check box or something that lets you select ONLY items you own when building. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to draw a box around everything with the mouse just to have selected your neighbor's tree as well, or worse, some tiny prim that you can't see right away. SL won't let you delete or take the prims you own if you select someone elses as well. OH SO FRUSTRATING *kicks dirt, hits a rock he didn't see, types /shakesfist in chat* I also realize there are times you want to select prims others build in Build Mode or just leave lying around your land (pesky kids and their randomly exploding bullet generators!!!) which is why I suggest it be a check box. Anyone second this motion? Taun Patel

I can't tell you how many times I threw my mouse in disgust at trying to select a massive build section, only to be thwarted by some alpha object I didn't see at the last moment....grrr.....
Being able to only select your stuff in build mode would be like manna from heaven to me.. D'oh! That's what I get for not hunting around the forums first before posting Thanks, Kris! okay so uhm... how bout a SEARCH feature in the forums to keep from posting brilliant ideas that have ... uhm.. been brillianted already LOL *** EDIT! I once posted about how it would be nice to select a local object versus global axis when editing, and someone pointed out nicely that it was already there on the edit panel...
Doh. Maxx, can you explain that? I've been going bonkers trying to line objects up when building, it seems so hit-or-miss, not to mention you can't "align" objects (would be so great for walls and such, I keep trying to apply Illustrator functions to SL). Something that has been driving me nuts also is when you rotate an object you can't "reset" it's axes -- like say I have a cylinder that I want to make a wheel. It obviously cant stay laying down so I rotate it 90 on the X or Y axis. It should now allow me to reset the axes so that X (or Y) goes to 0 (i think anyway). When I link objects sometimes the axes get confusing and I have to mess with the numbers over and over (but the green arrow is pointing UP!!! why won't it rotate AROUND that!?) Taun

I mad a primitive "mirrorator" device that works as well as it can without full scrip control over all the editing fields or query functions like llGetObjectShape.
But for now, you can make copies of other peoples' things with it, so I'm not selling it.
