There is a greater chance for SL to acheive 100% stability than the General subforum being reopened.
Linden wants a place for residents to help each other with SL-related questions. This helps Linden out, and takes a minor amount of burden off their support infrastructure. Linden has *not* shown any interest in fostering any sort of community on the SL Forums, and has been encouraging us to post those kinds of social conversations on 3rd-Party forums for quite some time. The more we try to post those kinds of threads here anyway, the greater the chances that they'll close this forum too. Sadly, no one listens - and history repeats. _____________________

Is it Friday already? In some places it is ;-D Still thursday for me though... damn... But to answer the question. They did have a general discussion before (it was called the sandbox which can be found in the archives). Basically it made the Lindens cry and at some point they were going to shut the whole forums down but decided to only take general discussion out. Do I think they shoud bring it back? Yeah.. we can get all silly in there and leave resident answers to the serious questions. _____________________

LL has forsaken this forum altogether and has closed the General Discussion forum. This forum will be closed if it continues to be abused.
THERE ARE MANY GENERAL DISCUSSION FORUMS. TAKE YOUR TWO ACCOUNTS AND GO FIND ONE. _____________________

I wish they'd read the technical forums once in a while They do, whether they take note is a different matter but many Lindens have inadvertently let slip that they read the forums when I talk to them, or maybe they let it slip on purpose so we know they read them but they don't want to officially acknowledge that. |
