Instead of alphabetical... to shake things up a bit more... I wonder if the Classified Ads listing can be randomized each time it's called up -- or would that put too much strain on the DB server? Maybe have it shaken up like pieces of paper in a hat each hour?

The client could just do some random sorting when it displays. I like that idea better, rather than alphabetical. |

Oh yeah, one other thing. I take it this means we'll be getting a client update before the ads go into Find? Is there any word on when it will be live?

Yeah, that's a really good question, Moopf. I wonder why the Lindens aren't giving us a few more details about the classified ad feature. Robin's post on the Announcements forum says that we can submit ads starting Wednesday, but it doesn't say what the deadline is (unless I'm misreading this and the deadline IS Wednesday). Also, will the ads be tied to little icons on the SL Map? Or just listed in a drop-down directory? A bit more information about this forthcoming feature and when it will be implemented would be much appreciated.
