LOL

I'm pleased to say that you're not as sold out as you were, but you're running between $2.90 and $3.10/gal by some reports.

We've already a couple of ugly incidents with official types showing up and invoking anti-gouging laws to back some of the friskier independents down.

Maybe people will finally be convinced to conserve and get a damn bike.

Icon, I've got three street bikes but to be honest, there aren't many places in the Metro Atlanta area I feel comfortable riding. *North* of the city is fine, like WAY north...

BTW - I nearly passed out last week when it took $10 to fill up my little (*LITTLE* GS500) Suz!! But, don't ask what it cost to fill up my full sized pick-up this morning. ;) I didn't look, just slid the card in and pressed "NO" for receipt and DID NOT LOOK! I'll know when the bill comes in. When that happens, I'll be sitting w/ a bowl or a bottle getting wasted BEFORE I open it. :D

I've seen it go from $2.60 last week to $3.20-$3.50 today...OUCH!

I'd happily ride a bike but I couldn't transport the 3 different bags of materials between my school buildings that I teach at (2 buildings a day) in a short enough time. I only get 20 minutes to travel over 7 miles...no problem with a car...but a bike? Not to mention how horrible it would be during the long Michigan winter.

my BF and I just finished installing locking gas caps on both of our vehicles because about half a tank of gas was missing from our big truck - a tank that cost us about $75.

To the person who felt they needed to lighten our load - I can only hope you really needed the fuel and weren't some jerk trying to steal a freebie, because if I ever catch you, we'll be calling a meatwagon to pick your slack carcass up after I'm done.

We just went over 3.00$ a gallon yesterday. It's still bouncing around at between 2.85$ & 3.05 $per.

131 yen per liter. Let me do the math... $4.51 per gallon? Not as different as I thought it would be.

Here in Tokyo it's faster to use public transportation to get to anywhere. So cars are sorta luxury items to show off, which I can not afford due to the rent of parking space (about US$300 to 700/mo in my neighbourhood). I'd rather own an island or two in SL :D
