Man just got through reading this whole thread and as an Owener/Operator of a club and radiostation, all I can say is that was messed up. I have listebned to Dom a lot and for anyone to do that was not just unprofessional but just down right rude and immature. I am very glad that her boss canned her from his station, couyse Djs are a direct reflection of the club they are at and the station they work for, and that would bring a bad taste to my mouth and would have done the same exact thing. *BOOT OUT THE DOOR* Its a very tough gig doing radio stations in second life to begin with. We have had lots of other dj's come and hang out with us with thier tags on, not a big deal. I do it myself as well. Just glad that most of us are responisble adults. (looks around...Right?) From: Dominik Bauer ...but I have to admit...the whole incident had an entertaining factor... cause 30secs after she changed the stream I was back on...guess what I did when I opened the mic? oh, and Beastie Boys - Sabotage is always a good track... I was thinking more like RATM - Gurilla Radio

From: Nala Galatea Ok, personally, I wear my DJ tag a lot, because it's a very key thing of what I do. I don't see it as being professionally questionable. To me, it's akin to wearing a t-shirt for something (like a club) while at someone else's club. I think the professional unethical stuff would come if a DJ comes in and starts verbally or distractingly promoting their station during someone else's broadcast. Of course, if the DJ was uncomfortable with me wearing the tag, I'd totally take it off, for mutual respect, but just wearing it around shouldn't make things confusing. I've never been mistaken for the DJ actually on air before either, since most personalities tend to let people know who they are and who to send IMs/requests to....lots. Anyway, just my thoughts on it. If everyone else thinks differently, I may rethink my position though. Very nicely worded, love.
