I think we're pointing the finger at the facts as they stand. Storing significant sums of money and not providing some kind of clear RL recourse is absurd in the extreme.

"User-created content takes the idea of leveraging player opinions a step further by allowing them to effectively prototype new ideas and features. Developers can then measure which new concepts most improve the products and incorporate them into the game in future patches."

Not if that's what their terms dictate. It's a private, virtual, business. If you don't like the terms you shouldn't invest. It really IS that simple. That's no reason to come on here bashing their operation because it doesn't suit YOUR needs. Obviously it suits the needs of their clients. For the record, ARE you a client?

You aren't storing money, you are storing Linden dollars, an imaginary currency used in a game. I know you can sell L$ for real money, but that doesn't make L$ any more real. When you go to a bank, do you ask to see the managers or owners address, name, and phone number? No, they give you a business number and a business address. This is no different then what Nich has, his business address is their island. The phone number is his IM. If they do run away with your money, then all you have to do is go to court, just like in real life.

Stop the FUD! If you don't like something then don't do it. Just because you are afraid doesn't mean you have start rumors or go around assuming things. If you want more facts then ask Nich, im sure he would love to assist all of you. If you are a skeptic, fine, no one is making you do anything. This is still a free SL if i recall, which means that Nich should be able to run his business without this FUD.
