Bahahah, those who do not study history are doomed to repeat!

Is it Black Tuesday yet? Can we expect to see Anshe hurtling past our windows? When will the Prim Soup lines begin forming?

I suspect people become confused when you refer to your assets.

Wasn't that a song by Paul McCartney and Wings? Bank on the run?

I've always gone followed the saying 'give no more than you can afford to lose'..

Without a contract system in place I've always been wary of 'bank schemes' - I even waited for feedback on places like G.O.M, and SL Boutique (even with it being run by a friend).

Siggy.

GINKOWNED

Sorry, couldn't resist. :)

I can't say I'm really surprised, though. Always seemed like a pretty shaky idea, putting my money in someone else's storage when LL stores it well enough themselves.

Really disappointing for those who got taken, though.

Umm to inject a little logic. When you make large withdrawls, I think they are manual.

WOW! Early this morning I was exploring the map and TP'ed to the Ginko SIM which they were still in the process of building.

I was met by a few representatives of Ginko and they asked if I was interested in depositing any money. I told them I had been reading the forums about their bank and that I would have to wait and see before I was make any decision. I told them I wanted to see if peoples confidence grew before I did anything.

They told me that they had 700+ customers with assests of over L$3.4 million. I tell ya I was tempted, but now after hearing about this, I am SOOOO glad I did not give them any money. Whew!

Works for me

I've never had a problem doing a withdrawl, whether it be a few hundred or a few K L$. I just tested it about 30 seconds ago, worked just fine.

I suggest that you take the problem up with Hinoserm or Nicholas. Crying to the forums doesn't magically make your withdrawl go through.

From what I understand, their withdrawals are manual. Is it just that they haven't done it yet, or did they actually say they're not paying you for whatever reason?

Actually, most withdrawls are now automatically processed. When you do a withdrawl it says "The next payout will be in about X seconds.". Try it yourself, deposit a linden, and withdrawl it.

I have quite a bit invested in Ginko, and I just went to make sure everything was ok. I had no problems with withdrawing, maybe you withdrew over 50k (which requires a manual acceptance)?

I can honestly say this thread is about "FUD". Many companies use it, mainly Microsoft on the war against Linux. FUD stands for Fear Uncertanty and Doubt. Someone came here and made a bogus post and everyone bought into it. I checked my money, I am able to access all of it. This is a bogus post. If you really do have a problem with a business or player, aren't you supposed to resolve it with them instead of running to the forums and inciting a riot?

I think so, and I think this thread SHOULD be locked.

I disagree, and I think this thread SHOULD remain open. If Ginko has refused to honor a request for withdrawl, it is of serious importance to everyone who may be invested or may be considering investing. Just because you're uninformed about the specific circusmtances of the matter does not mean that nothing is going on.

In all honesty, I am far less concerned about your allegations of FUD, and far more concerned by the apparent snow job which I believe is going on in this forum.

Ginko won't honor withdrawls from their bank. Will we ever see our money? Why won't they honor our withdrawls? Is their a problem? I want' my cash back now!

Ginko is a Scam!

Hank, did you talk to Hino online before you posted here? I could get to my account fine, and are you sure you didn't say "balance" and not "/balance"? If you said that, the GOM servers will say no account exists.

I believe that someone just overreacted. While I was there, me, and 2 others could get to their account and had no problems.

FUD or not, here's a thread I started that got piled on quite happily:
/130/71/51425/1.html

To be quite honest, I will not invest in a company unless I'm given some credentials and actual accountability. I'm still waiting for answers.

In the meantime, I saw this coming. I hear torches and pitchforks are all the rage these days!
