If someone pisses you off - delete their card -- problem solved

I do this before I IM people sometimes. And my friends track me down this way all the time. It's okay if people walk in on me unannounced, I've survived the most mortifying of scenarios. :p

I've bumped into several people I'd love to trade cards with, but haven't because I'm just too stinking shy to initiate an exchange. And I don't want people to worry about me stalkering them. I just goss. No stalk. :p

It always gets to me though, when a newbie cancels my card. WTF? Think they're finally on to me. :D

I love sitting at home and people just flying in my house. Oh that reminds me i accidently put my house in my inventory trying to put an object way. Dang it!

What violates privacy is your continued use of non-anonymous polls, Blake.

That does not compute.

For the invisible mode I was talking about earlier, yes, your avatar would still appear in world. And perhaps if you're on your own land or public land, you can see invisible mode avatars on your minimap.

Or maybe when in "invisible mode" you still appear as a green done on the minimap, but offline everywhere else.

There are ways around it :-)

Don't you already show up as offline if you're on private land? People once thought I was offline for two weeks because I'd accidently left my land private. ;) I don't think it hides the dot, but I have reason to believe it makes you show up as offline to calling cards and Find.

Context.

While someone may know where I am, this may be different from me wanting them to always be where I am. If someone is wondering and the case is ambiguous, then it can be settled as followed: it is considerate for them to ask to be TPed to my location -- as opposed to appearing unannounced (with certain exceptions).

Most of my fellow avatars, thankfully, have been quite respectful in doing this, and I am thankful. :)

Yes, thank you! I have never been a big fan of the "pop over"- when someone just drops in on you, not in RL or SL. It's fine to know where i am, but an IM to say "hey, are you busy?" before landing next to me, takes about 2 seconds (depending on your qwerty skills), and is just plain common sense courtesy. Wouldn't you call someone first in RL before showing up at their door?

But an invisible mode would be very helpful if i felt like skulking about one day...
