This new land doesn't represent a change in course for us. We normally bring a large number of sims on and then put them up for auction over time.

What course are you following? The "seat of the pants" course?

Why not just publish your plans for bringing on new land. Why so secretive?

"User-created content takes the idea of leveraging player opinions a step further by allowing them to effectively prototype new ideas and features. Developers can then measure which new concepts most improve the products and incorporate them into the game in future patches."

Very nice new region. But did it look to anyone else like they weren't done with it yet? In particular the subdivision near the new welcome area -- looked like the sidestreets were left unfinished...

Ditto on the tree generators, saw one or two in/near Mowry when I was scouting there a couple weeks ago.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was some detail work still left to do by the Lindens. When the snow areas were opened to the public there were some things they still had to finish... a waterfall that was turned off comes to mind. Prior to that some had mentioned that it would be cool to see how the Lindens went about preparing new areas before they were released. Perhaps that's why we are allowed to see some of the tools they use, like the tree generators.

Mysterious little deevils aren't they.

The plan is, more people = more land. What's the big deal?

I've seen a lot of those new tree generators around - one on a First Land lot in Mowry, and one in Orwood.

The older striped tree generators were copyable, and I have a copy of one I found in that Sim north of Fujin, but I never got it to work right.

The newer green tree generators don't seem to be copyable :(

The sim names are all named after places in and around the English Lake District. 2 of them are spelled differently (or wrongly?) - Conistan (real place = Coniston) and Ableside (real place = Ambleside).

Its a particularly beautiful part of the country so hopefully the new sims will live up to their namesakes.

I just looked on the map, and the northern-most Sims have had their spelling changed to correctly reflect English Lake District towns. YAY!
