From: Cocoanut Koala You know I like your recipes, Enabran. But this business of people constantly asserting, "the reason so many people don't like you" or "the reason so many people don't like your posts" has GOT to stop. What're you expecting? People are going to pretend you're as readable as Twain?

I'm not just talking about myself. How would you like it if I said, "The reason so many people don't like your posts, Enabran . . ." Or, "The reason so many people don't like you, Enabran . . ." It's character assassination. coco

From: Cocoanut Koala It is part of my personality to share things openly with people, Ingrid. Especially when it is good news. If you don't like to read my posts, why not skip them, rather than poke fun at them? This is about the third time you've done it, in addition to putting it in your signature. coco Or you could skip mine. I thought your post was amusing and I responded to it. I'm sorry you have a problem with me expressing myself. My signature? what? Cristiano's. Oh wow. Guilt trips ARE fun!

Or, "The reason so many people don't like you, Enabran . . ." It's character assassination. Hahaha. No, it's observation and opinion. Feel free to make those statements. I'll give you a few pointers: Enabran, people don't like your posts because... - ...you're often haughty and ridiculously confident in the validity of your own opinions.
- ...you're often blunt about things that bother you.
- ...you rarely make any effort to spare the feelings of people who annoy you.
- ...you believe in the existence of right and wrong.
- ...you're a dick.
- ...you make sure to put the toilet seat back down. Like you're some sort of superior being because you're considerate enough to do that. Prick.
If you're not open to others having an opinion on your own writing and opinions, you shouldn't bother publishing them. Less bruised feelings that way.

From: Aimee Weber Just speaking for myself here... But if a lot of people DIDN'T like my posts, and somebody explained to me why, I would listen. For all you know, Aimee, a lot of people don't. No one has proven in the first place that a lot of people don't like my posts. Or don't like person X, or person X's posts. Or has even specified what "a lot of people" means. Yet it is stated as if it were fact. We've seen this strategy before. "The reason people don't like you, person X, is because you . . ." Posts full of "you's" already aren't great from the get-go. Two could play at this game, if both parties wanted to. But it's so doggone grade-school. coco

You proved it yourself with your forum reform poll. Since the vast majority of your recent posts basically mouthed the same thing as the forum reform poll, and the forum reforms were rejected by a significant margin, I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that you're putting people off by merit of your tone and conduct.

From: Cocoanut Koala No one has proven in the first place that a lot of people don't like my posts. I don't like 95% of your posts. That is not a dig just a simple fact. I think it would be mean for everyone to come out the woodwork and post. "Cocoanut, I don't like your posts". It would lead to some thread about being forced out the forums by the evil of others, so most people just respond to you with opposing points of view. I will boldly step out and say I don't like your posts for the record, so it is a proven fact. Now that we have that fact to work with, what is the next step? Ohh right, ignore.

Certainly, a casual observer can look at both how someone acts, and the responses to those actions, and say "In my opinion, the reason people react this way or that way is because...". Differently worded, but the same thing. I do think often the reason there is negative commentary on certain posters is because of perceived hypocrisy, which a number (note I don't magically create a number like 5 or 2 or 12-15) of people here are quite annoyed by and quite ready to point out when it is glaring. Ultimately though, as usual, we can only really speak for ourselves (and any of the FIC are authorized to speak for Panda).

From: Enabran Templar Ah, I see. So it's cool to share irrelevant personal details, but if Enabran mentions that he has devised a gourmet method of preparing Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches, it's just a means of derailing the thread and getting it locked and he should be banned!
there's a huge difference between your post and cococa's. her post is a clear demonstration of the fact that she has a life! your's is a clear demonstration of the fact that you have no life. (my posts are a clear demonstration of the fact that i need a job)
