Hello gang! I'm getting really geeked up for this trip now. This thread will serve as a kind of final head count: PLEASE ONLY REPLY TO THIS THREAD IF YOU ARE DEFINITELY GOING! If you are a maybe, please wait until you are a definite YES to reply. If you are not going, please use the other thread for posting. I'm also posting some things to remember about the upcoming trip (more for myself than anyone else... trust me!) (1) Don't forget we're guests. We've been invited to arrive at 4pm on Friday; its probably best to not show up before 4pm on July 22nd unless you are specifically invited. We're visiting a place of business that has been kind enough to open their doors to us. This is a very unique situation. We do not want to be disruptive at all. Do not interupt people while they are working; let them come to you when they have a break. (2) Leave SL bizness at home. Its okay to talk to people about new features you're excited about, about how great Havok 2 will be, etc... but please don't ask questions about why you only got half of your regular stipend last week, or why the asset server ate your pants. (3) Leave the DRAHMA at home. Let's avoid asking why John Doe hasn't been banned or opinions about any SLers who won't be present from the Lindens or other residents. (4) LL is small. Remember, people work in an open environment in one big room. It is not a huge place, and is still a small/medium sized business. We'll have plenty of time to be loud and uproarious later in the evening, but when at the office or colo facility, remember, library rules apply! (5) Remember Pathfinder's words about privacy. I'm very open with my RL, and so are many others, but every citizen (Lindens included) have the right to as much RL privacy as they wish. That being said, I'm VERY, VERY excited! Its just important to keep that excitement in check in the interest of being a good-mannered guest. NOW - FOR THOSE WHO ARE DEFINITELY COMING!Please include: (1) How many people total you're RSVPing for in this thread. (2) Who those people are. (3) Where you are staying (if you wish). This will help us get a headcount of DEFINITES and give us some idea on what we can plan to do throughout the weekend. I CAN'T WAIT! Regards, -Flip

Debating attending... I mean, that trek to the lobby isn't something to be taken lightly. -Bub

Xylor and I will be there, although it looks as if we won't be able to get to the city until that evening. So we'll be giving you a call to find out where to meet up for bar crawl.

Do you think Linden Labs is just gonna let you barge in there? I mean for all they know one of you could be Will Heavry in a plush suit trying to find out the secrets of Second Life...

Zack, its been pre-arranged, with times for a meet and great and possibly a tour of the colocation facility. Its not like we're showing up unannounced or anything. See the other threads for details. -Flip

I am in San Francisco as we speak. As expected it is cold and overcast, but the weather may get nicer. I had thought the afternoon was to kick off at 3:30pm. In any case I will be on and off throughout the day. If anyone has any suggestions, thoughts, or ideas for what do do during a day let me know.
Any Any SLer in SF or any Linden who wants to do lunch..let me know!
