I'm reporting you and requesting that your card be revoked and burned in the public square.

;)

This is all a death rattle.

The next generation is going to be de-sensitized to sex because of the internet people like Jim black are just going to seem like gibbering mad men.

Are they going to be de-sensitized or are we entering an era where people don't have to whisper about sex or feel it's 'dirty'?

For an act that nearly everyone participates in, we sure have some serious hang-ups about it.

Actually, I sorta agree. He's got kinda a Sam Neill-ish look to him. Sorta.

A couple problems I see with this idea:

1. The majority of lawmakers are of the same generation as Mr. Black and likely share the same, or at least similiar, ethics/morals.

2. The younger lawmakers coming in have to "play ball" with the older ones to get anything done. Result: they can, and sadly usually do, end up becoming the same way. (I'm sure that several people can, and I hope will, point out exceptions to this obsevation :))

3. Get enough of the "next generation" interested in government to change problem 1. (i.e. get them out from in front of video games and "reality" TV long enough to vote for a new, younger, set of lawmakers)

4. Lawmakers have to produce/change laws to prove to the voters that they are doing something to earn their tax money backed paychecks and perks. Unfortunately about the only area left for them to work on is personal relationships.

5. Overcome the impressions that "old-fashioned" morals and ethics are better than the new, evolving, morals and ethics.

Just my L$0.02 worth of observations, they stand or fall on their own.

EDIT: had a typo
