Do participants in Stagecoach Island have the right to say bad things about Wells Fargo and advocate using BankAmerica or such instead?
Would the Fargos in Stagecoach Island be the police force of an oligarchic Fargo government from whom the visitors need to be granted the full protection of the U.N. bill of rights?

From: Huns Valen I cannot imagine what motivates you to ask questions like this. Well there is someone who keeps harping on this concept. It occured to me that there is no reason why LL should get the shaft while Wells Fargo gets off scott free.

It is actually funny you mention this. Right off the heels of my discovery that you could not say "Second Life" in Active Worlds, we were granted access to Stagecoach Island for that one night. While with Torley I shouted out "Bank of America" and did not get booted. Hope this answers your question!

Soon the young people in Stagecoach Island will be singing the Wells Fargo anthem (not that song from the musical, a somber national anthem type of song), pledging alliegance to the Wells Fargo flag, running off to fight in wars to support the multi-national corporate hegemony.

Hey, I just found out that I indeed can sing "Screw the Lindens" at my computer while being logged into SL

I went to Stagecoach Island wielding BFGs and toting explosives, and I was BANNED from the private island! Then I went to Slootsville carrying the same equipment and I was... ummm nevermind, bad example, and if my mother asks, they were just cleaning it.

It's their island, it's on a separate grid, it is meant for their own commercial purposes.

As a private sim owner, Wells Fargo has the right to allow or restrict any behavior they see fit in their sim.

I love threads where the purpose of the original poster is to launch a personal attack on a particular person, by twisting an interesting issue in a silly way - and - lots of people take the thread seriously. It's a favorite diversionary tactic of statists and other simpering toadies of elitist rule.

From: Huns Valen Just so we're on the same page, tell me you're not serious about the U.N. Bill of Rights. I am serious about other people in the forums suggesting that the U.N. Bill Of Rights be incorporated into "legal" system in SL. I didn't make a proposal, I asked a question.

As long as Stagecoach Island remains private property and off-grid, I would support Wells Fargo's right to block, remove or ban anybody they do not want on their island. This sim was created as a marketing tool for Wells Fargo. It is not an open playground for the general population. We do not have the same rights there that we do on the main land. That being said, if Stagecoach Island were merged with the main grid, then I would feel completely different about this. You see, this is one more reason that real world advertising should be kept off the main grid.

From: Juro Kothari Why do you care? Do you have an issue with Wells Fargo Bank? The reason I referred to Wells Fargo is that Wells Fargo is the company that Stagecoach Island is associated with. If a different company had paid to use the SL platform in similar fashion I could have used a different company name. Using non-specific terms like "Company A" and "Company B" gets to be kind of tedious and stilted. The choice of Bank of America was a simple matter of picking the first big bank name I could think of. The thrust of the question is "Some say that SL users have certain rights, such as a right to free speech. The Wells Fargo customers that use Stagecoach Island are using the SL platform in much the same way that regular SL users do. Do the Wells Fargo customers have the same rights as SL users? An SL user is either on land they own or on land owned by someone else. If an SL user is on Linden owned land, which is land owned by someone else, why would their rights differ from those of a customer of Company A while on Company A's land?
