I'll play. My forum fab 5.

1) Ulrika - Cause I constantly waiver between thinking she's brilliant and crazy.

2) Aimee - Friendly, funny, insightful, prok, panties, diva.

3) blaze - I used to think he was a troll, but believe he had an epiphany in 2005. Or maybe I had the epiphany.

4) Torley - Never read a post that didn't make me smile.

5) Jeska - The world's greatest forum Mod.

Plus they all have one name like Prince, Madonna and Pele.

I should add one more person to my list. Even though I am often quite at odds with her, Cocoanut Koala does deserve mention as someone I consider to be one of the most impressive new residents. She has held on for dear life even when things have been very rough (sometimes at her own doing, I would argue), and has stuck her ground. Even when I disagree with her, and lord knows I do, she has always been respectful and willing to listen openly, and for that she has my respect. Many people just close themselves to anything but their own opinion. I also find her willingness to share details about her life in the most random ways to be really endearing. She has definitely risen from obscurity and made a name for herself (well, now two names :) ).

Ho hum a person's ability to spout off in the forums has nothing to do with Second Life. :)

True, but other than blaze, since I have no idea what he does... I have much in-world respect for everyone on my list as well.

Gosh, blaze, I actually thought you had more inside your head than to come up with one of these asinine "best of" threads.

Or, if you had to, I'd have thought your "best of" would have had some kind of satiric punch. You sure you're not just an alt of some of these "FIC" noodles who regularly feel compelled to worship each other by manufacturing silly lists?

rofl i was just thinking the same damn thing :D

I don't really know many knew people... ;0 Hell most of the "old" people are like "wtf, who is baba?" but meh ;0

I'll try to make up a "best hope for SL" list from people I do know regardless of account age ;0

In no particular order ;0

Rules, shumles. :D

Armath Severine--talented in so many different ways (been said but bears repetition)

Memory Harker--wit, talent, and brains--watch this one, grasshopper

Frogg Marlowe--what a voice on that amphibian!

Jonny Impfondo--If you have not heard him sing, you are truly missing out! Irreverent, funny, clever, he has an incredible voice to match. (I am not sure how long he he has been around, though)

Jake Reitveld--Reading his "Ask Jake" thread is like a mini-meditation

Honorable, honorable mention:

Bertha Horton-- I have not met her yet, but I have a feeling that she will truly distinguish herself

Cory Edo--Incredible building skills *and* a sense of humor!

Notpandastrongsalt Faulkner--his born-on date does not match his overall grasp of SL's cultural landscape, and he made me pee a little (but never, never in the shower)

Billy Ogopogo--a hell of a DJ (he played The Pixies for me :D)

There you have it. I will, most probably, be augmenting this list, but I feel these folks hold a tremendous amount of potential.

In general I don't like the list threads, but I know three 2005 edition avatars that deserve a spotlight:

Euterpe Roo for her enthusiasm, good nature, and smarts.
Ziggy Puff for being wicked new but still scripting me a badass automated transport system, and for wringing impressive quantities of androgeny out of a trenchcoat and a bloody hatchet.
Leif Ming for just being a good bloke and showing interest in my projects.

I could list a few more, but I can't remember their names off the top of my head - old age - MAH BARAINZZZ R OXICONTIDATED!

Yes, I know some have been here a bit over a year, and that I listed more than ten, but so what? :p

Srew that, Chiun is the one and only.

"Of course. I am Chiun."

And never forget, Sho'nuff. A close second.

"Now, when I say, 'Who's da mastah?' you say, 'Sho'nuff!' "

God damn it, would you sour grapes people go away so I can enjoy my first time making a list?

Sheesh. You'd think it was all about YOU, not ME.

(Editors Note: Anyone who takes this post seriously should seek immediate psychological aid, including but not limited to perscription anxiety medication, depression relief, and electro-shock therapy for cognitive disorders.)

Yay! You said what I was thinking Cienna *basks in first list mention*

And well, it's always about ME, even when it's not.

*refers to Cienna's disclaimer*
