I'd like to see a sim be able to hold enough people to make something like this possible on the scale in which you obviously mean it to happen. Then I'd like to play that giant game of monopoly.

Or just a running battle across the mainland. We keep it safe and clean enough at a minimum altitude, no nukes or physical weapons, some kind of referee for keeping out griefers, and we can have some fun. ![]() |

I"m getting more votes for Monopoly than anything else so far.
It would probably be easiest to pull off, seeing how peopel would be clamoring to have their place as a 'square'. I'll write up a design doc and see how it handles. How much would pay, and what would you offer to make your location (mall, club, attraction, shop) part of giant board game, guaranteed to get you traffic and people flying in? |

I thought we were already playing a game of grid-wide Monopoly. Last I checked, Anshe was winning, with two hotels on most of her property to boot.
Seriously though? When Second Life can support something this epic without lagging to high hell, I'd be glad to help. There's also a little matter of avoiding the "Zombies/Fire Ants" scenarios for some of these events. Primzilla isn't so hard. Only problem is, if I did it the way I want to, the legs would fall off in No-Script areas. ![]() _____________________

Yeah. I'm almost done with my single-linked airship, I wonder if anyone wants a race?

People freak out before asking questions, go on tyrades, and "fun" becomes "grief". Hate to be feted, but to be honest this would have been doable in Beta or soon-after (like Roo's space ship that abducted random residents). But not in today's paranoid ridden grid. ![]() It'd be nice to have a large group of private sims, a mini-continent, in which the owners would allow things like this to happen and that the habbitants of said continent would be cool with it. But... doubt that will happen too. I'd love to see something like this, but, lag + residents = bad. ![]() _____________________

Valfaroth Grimm made a SLopoly game at the end of 2003. He set it up on Cayman Island. As you can see in the picture we stood on a plastic floor to watch the players skip around. It was great fun and well received. I personally haven't seen it out since.
This picture was taken December 3, 2003. _____________________

Just because a thing has been done, doesn't mean it can't be tried again! I am attaching a picture of when Roo Jones visited Shipley back in August 2003. He would just beam you p! LOL It was a hoot. I have some pictures of the interior, I will look for them. I say go for it. |

Burke .. are you still working on this?
It'd be really cool to see something like this during the massive grid stress test. _____________________
