In yet another stunning move, the Spokane Chapter of Protest Warriors has unanimously rejected Operation Inegrity and discharged General JC Christian from their ranks.

I suppose an organization devoted to enforcing dogmatic purity for the ruling junta might have some qualms about having a clever satirist infiltrating their ranks.

Maybe they could join forces with the Hitler Youth... oh, excuse me, Boy Scouts of America.

Yes, everyone who takes a little pride in their country is evil.

If they really loved their country, they would be lined up at the recruiting office enlisting instead of staying at home and forming a "club".

General JC Christian had the right idea and they kicked him out. How does that show pride in the USA?

Naaaah. There's plenty of ways to love your country that don't involve participating in the illegal invasion and occupation of somebody else's country. Surpressing dissent isn't one of them, but hey, maybe they'll grow out of it.

Not everyone is fit to serve. And that is the lamest fucking come back to use EVER. Its a strawman response and it sucks.

This is true,

It should not be necessary to tell those who hate dissent on the war to enlist.

It should be as simple to say that people have no right to tell others they cant dissent.

There will be those who support the war and those who dont. Both have the right to voice their opinions.

By not respecting those rights, someone is not respecting the freedoms that are part of America.

That's the irony of eroding the Bill of Rights and constitutional protections in the name of preserving "national security". Without respect for the fundamental foundations of our country, we have no security... and no nation.

That's not a "come back". That is my opinion.

Straw man or not, put up or shut up is not a new concept. These boys look fit enough to serve to me. If you are able-bodied enough to walk the streets holding signs asking others to die for your cause then you should be ready to step up when your country needs you.

The military has a recruiting deficit.

They look pretty fit to me. :)

An arguement could be made that becuase of their extreme right wing bais, involving an extreme predjudice for other cultures and insensibilities for Amerian Freedoms, they are unfit psychologically to serve.

I walked up to the shrink and said, "Shrink,
I wanna kill
Kill!
I mean,
I mean, I wanna see dead burnt bodies, feel veins in my teeth.
Kill.
Kill!
KILL!"
And I started jumpin' up and down, yellin' "KILL, KILL, KILL!"
And then he started jumpin' up and down, yellin' "KILL, KILL, KILL!"
And we were both jumpin' up and down, yellin' "KILL, KILL, KILL!"
Sergeant came over, pinned a medal on me and said,
"You're our boy".

lol Arc. I was a little worried that the Classic Rock stations would drop the Thanksgiving "Alice's Restaurant" tradition in the war build-up years, seeing as most of them are Clearchannel and they were second only to the country stations in uber-nationalism at the time. I was relieved to hear it at noon on Thanksgiving 2001 and 2002 :D

Urg, Neehai, isn't that a pic of a Socialist Action Network meeting? Yeah, they look pretty fit but note the peace sign.

No, the sign says "Socialist Action Network: working to perfect the ultimate police state."

That peace sign... that's one of their more subtle ones...

It's a meeting the PWs held before their NYC anti-demonstration demonstrations.

Not all Protest Warriors are extreme Right Wingers, most of the ones I know are more middle of the road but this is Chicago, most people are middle of the road.

The message I take away from that is that it's better to be naked and peaceful than oppressed by fundamentalist nutbags with guns.

Maybe we should sic these guys on the Texas state legislature!

Here are the founders of Protest Warriors, two young men clearly "unfit" to make the commitment to fight in the war they love so much.

From the Protest Warrior FAQ (http://www.protestwarrior.com/faq.php):

What's your background (education, employment, etc.)?

I graduated with two degrees, computer engineering and film production. I was recently working for a startup in Silicon Valley designing networking chips. Alan was a political science major who is now a graduate from the USC film school. ProtestWarrior is now a full-time job, and we have moved our headquarters to Austin TX.

It's a shame when two young rich white boys can protest for a war but they can't fight in it. A crying shame in deed.

p.s. Recruitment goals are down again this month.

The message is you have all these hippie hedonists in America screaming "PEACE" while they live in complete comfort in the US, meanwhile on the other side of the world there are people that are being oppressed and need help. Help comes in the form of money and guns. People don't get liberated with candy and kisses.

Ohhh! reverse Racism and classism and elitism all in one sentence! Awesome!

If they were some poor black boys from Harlem would you be complaining so much?

Again, not everyone is fit for duty and you can serve your country in more ways than being in the military.

Its odd that recruitment is down, when just a few months ago USA Today had an article that there were too many recruits for the Navy and Air Force and they were turning people away.

People don't get liberated with those fucking guns either. They just get dead.

In the middle of the road you see the darndest things
Like fat guys driving 'round in jeeps through the city
Wearing big diamond rings and silk suits
Past corrugated tin shacks full up with kids
Oh man I don't mean a Hampstead nursery
When you own a big chunk of the bloody third world
The babies just come with the scenery

Tell that to the Jews that were liberated by guns.

Recruitment in the Air Force and Navy is almost always high because these 2 branches offer the most jobs with technical skills that are applicable in the civilian sector.

The Army and Marines recruitment numbers are down. One could hyptohesize that the war in Iraq and number of freindly deaths in Iraq (Army & Marine) have scared off alot of would-be new recruits.

I served my time in the Navy for my country.

Right. We won't talk about the hardware used to round them up in the first place, or how the rat bastard in charge got there because the country had been devastated and then ignored by the "good guys" in the previous global conflict.
