Actually, most people step up to thumb their nose when a poster is obnoxiously and/or smugly self-righteous, appears not to realise they are acting as if they are somehow superior (when the mere act of posting demonstrates they are not), or seems oblivious to the reality that taking much of anything you read on a forum seriously is a sign of poor mental health.

It is not as much a statement of immaturity as it is a good, old-fashion 'Bronx Cheer' in the direction of the initiating poster, someone who is usually unable to grasp the joke, since their psycholoigcal makeup rarely includes traits like 'self-deprecation', 'sense of humor', or 'sense of irony'.

On the other hand, posting a new thread complaining about the immaturity of 'everyone else' is done almost exclusively by immature people.

Go figure.

I think the theme is "Chaos" and its going very well so far.

Chaos was the name of an antedeluvian Cambodian fertility god whose terra cotta likeness was first discovered near Phnum Aoral in 1923 by Sir William Chadsworth II. Originally, it was thought that Chaos was an isolated deity, but further evidence found buried beneath the current cities of Kampong Cham and Kracheh revealed that the deity was worshipped since times predating Christ, perhaps by thousand of years.

Then, in 1948, on an expedition by Sir William Chadsworth II's protege, Arthur Lexington, a unique image was found deep in the highlands near Phoa Bia. This image depicts the goddess holding an apple, carved out of gold, and inset into a prism- similar to the construct of the "light in the meeting tent" that the Meru Foundation has pointed out to be the source of the written Hebrew language. This find was inside the remains of a temple which was once part of an ancient military stronghold. All evidence points to it being the seat of some ancient royal dynasty that history has forgotten. What could have destroyed this ancient city?

Answers may come from a culture many thousands of miles away. The ancient Greeks. There are similarities between the Chaos deity of Phoa Bia and the Greek Goddess, Eris. Note that the word "phobia" is phonetically similar to the seat of worship of Chaos at Phoa Bia. Is it a coincidence or did the ancient Greeks preserve a warning to future generations that knowledge of this ancient goddess leads to great destruction?
