And by the way, I love the hip hop style. Why else would I be wearing a stocking cap and hood?

All of you immature people have fully proved my point about immature people not being able to stay on topic of a forum and nit-pick about small things. Thank you so much. Now can we all please grow up. And I don't appreciate being called a wacko when you do not even know me. So I am in offense by it. And by the way, I loathe the hip hop style. Why would I be wearing a stocking cap and hood?

Excellent!

It's an uphill climb Inferniel - but I know what ya mean.

The subject of this thread is "Why can't people stay on topic?" Can't we all just grow up and be adults for once!

Hello, and welcome to the Internet. Laws of social order do not apply here, but this theory does.

There is a way to offer editorial advice without messing up the thread.
05-07-2005 17:41
Someone who wishes to advise a person on spelling, grammar, etc., without disrupting the flow of a thread can in many cases send the person they wish to advise a private message, being sure to word the message as diplomatically as possible. This gives the recipient the opportunity to edit the message in a way that does not throw the thread off track.

To answer one of your questions, one could wear a stocking cap and hood because it is cold.

You should have PM'd her about it instead of posting. Can't you do anything right?

Thank you so much SuezanneC. You are the only one that has posted a reply to this thread that has gotten the point I was trying to make. Thank you.

I did not post this thread for the immature people to insult and harrass me. Thank you so much for the harrassment and the insults. The Lindens are enjoying the reports I have filed with them.

What bugs me about thread flow
05-07-2005 17:47
One of the many things that get me annoyed is when I try to post something off-topic in the off-topic forum and someone insists on trying to respond in a way that involves Second Life.

Should one do the same thing when someone else is being poncy, pretentious, pompous, poltroonish, perturbed, portentous, presumptuous, pendantic, puffed-up, and above all, precious?

Ok, I guess I better clarify the stocking cap statement. I was adding to Inferniel's admonition of Panda. The joke was aimed at Panda.

Does that happen a lot? I always thought it was more vice-versa.
