Most of my hair is made by Lost lol. I have hair by Launa as well and recently I've bought some hair from HoseQueen and Zyrrah because the styles are very romantic and classic without too much going on. I've only made a couple of styles and the reason why is HAIR IS SOOO HARD lol. I take my hat off to those of you who do it on a regular basis because it gives me the biggest headache lol. Being able to color the hair doesn't really matter to me because I don't like anything but black for prim hair lol. I can't stand to see the actual pieces coming from the head, it kinda reminds me of hair plugs or something :/ lol I'm just strange.

My own hair is by Brad Casanova; it's very "normal" but a style that's hard to do with regular non-prim hair, unlike a lot of the more out-there primmy styles.

If it's long and down, I just rock in black with purple bangs.

Since I normally have White hair, I have to say Lash and HoseQueen. They're the only ones I've seen where they do a 'natural' style that looks good with white.
When I choose to have darker hair, Lost Therian, Launa Fauna and Zyrrah Falcone (sp?) do great styles!
(When someone blesses me with a sleekly, glossy waved, short-banged Bettie Page style, you will become my very favorite!)

I bought some of Losts' hair (the romantic style) last night and can't get it to look right. It won't look like the person on the poster, seems some skin is showing through. Any suggestions? Is it just me, my avatar, or just me?

Any suggestions? Is it just me, my avatar, or just me? Ooh! Me! Me! This happened to me too, with a complex 'long' style. Here's what you have to do. Make sure you have your camera turned and zoomed in so you're closeup on the hair. Right click on the troublesome piece and select "Edit". Make sure you have the correct piece - most hair has a skull piece, a top/back, and sides. You should see colored arrows going up, down, left, right, and then 2 other sets outside of those which are blue and green (these are the rotation arrows). You'll be left clicking on the up/down and left/right arrows to make fine tuning adjustments to the position of the hair. Now, here's where you have to remember to use ALT + Left mouse to rotate your camera just a little. Some angles won't let you see exactly how far you've moved an arrow, so you have to move the camera a little to get a better perspective. You want to be able to nudge the hair just enough to cover your bald spot without uncovering something else. In my case, I had to slide the bangs forward about a smidge and a half, then use the up arrow to raise them just a twitch (scientific measurements here). It's all done by feel and look, but if you exit 'Edit' mode and it still doesn't look right, just edit again and keep trying. Some hair is like this. It's not your fault or even the designers', it's because hair is pretty complex and not all heads are shaped alike. Cindy

Any suggestions? Is it just me, my avatar, or just me? Hi, I had this problem too, and I've noticed others in the Welcome Area who have the same styles and theirs do too. Are you talking about, when you zoom out and pan around, it looks like a crowned line around the front of your hairline that is skintone? I am not positive, but it am guessing this will be because of whatever texture he used for the base hair. The hair is more than big enough to cover the head, so that's the only other thing it could be. Targa textures can act funny. However, the default SL hair texture is a targa also, so go figure. It kinda annoys me (that line) but I like his hair so much, it doesn't bother me enough to stop wearing the hair. The hair is lovely, and being a builder, I know what it's like having things look strange as a user zooms in and out. When you zoom out, detail is lost and prims and textures do funny things.

Non-prim hair is like the hair your normal avatar has. If you buy Non-prim hair from amerchant, what you're actually buying is a hairstyle they've created and used a custom texture on... applied via the appearance mode.
Prim hair is made out of prims and attached to your head. It usually comes with a non-prim hair base, and the attachments add the main style to it.

Do you have a picture of this? I've seen several issues with prim hair that I've had to go back and correct myself, so there are several things that come to mind when you say this. If you could snap a pic of what you're talking about, I can (more than likely) tell you how to fix it.
